Control Resonant: How to Solve the Testing Facility Vesey Tesla Coil Puzzle

Testing Facility Vesey sits in the northeastern part of The Park in Control Resonant, and its shutdown puzzle is part of the “Unsupervised Science” side mission with the objective “Shut Down the Experiments.” Inside, five Tesla coils are wired to battery sockets, and each one keeps trying to overload. Your job is to keep every coil from popping until all five settle into a stable state at the same time.

Quick answer: The moment a coil starts sparking red, flip its power state — pull the power core out if it has one, or drop a core in if it is empty. Hold all five coils green for 60 seconds to finish.

Where to find Testing Facility Vesey in The Park

The facility is underground, and the map marker points at a surface spot rather than the door. Two sewer entrances in the northeastern section of The Park lead down to it. If you are working through the New Growth quest, you will likely pass this location anyway.

Once inside, a control terminal overlooks the test chamber. From there you can see the five coils, each marked by a yellow hazard-tape square on the floor with its own battery receptacle.

How the coil colors work

Each coil signals its state with a light, so read the colors before you touch anything.

Red / sparking: unstable and about to overload — act on it immediately.
Blue: active current, running normally for now.
Green: fully stabilized and locked in.

The rule is simple. Whenever a coil sparks red, invert its power. A coil holding a battery needs that battery pulled out, and an empty coil needs a battery pushed in. Do this fast enough and the coil settles instead of completing its overload.

Steps to stabilize all five coils

Interact with the main terminal to begin the shutdown, then Levitate down into the test chamber so you can reach every coil quickly. The coils are spread across upper platforms and the ground floor, so position yourself where you can move between them without long gaps.

Watch for the first coil to spark red. Use Launch or Grab to yank its power core out if one is seated, or slot a nearby core into an empty receptacle. That single swap flips it out of the overload it was building toward.

Keep circling the room and repeat the swap on whichever coil sparks next. Carry a spare core with you so you always have one ready to feed an empty receptacle, and never let two coils finish their overload at once.

Make your final adjustments until every coil turns solid green. Green means that coil is locked, so once one is settled you can focus entirely on the remaining ones that are still cycling.

With all five green, hold that state for roughly 60 seconds. Stay in the chamber and keep an eye on the coils, because any that slips back to red before the timer ends has to be corrected again.

How to confirm the shutdown and claim the rewards

When the 60 seconds are up, the mission logs a “Quest Log Updated” prompt and a previously locked control office on the upper level opens. Return to the monitoring terminal and head up to that room to collect what is inside.

Inside the office, break the wooden barricade on the right to reveal the Emergency Hood accessory, then interact with the document on the table to read “Notes From Dr. Roth.” That completes this facility’s part of the “Unsupervised Science” quest, which asks you to shut down all six experiments across Manhattan before the final Threshold opens.
