Warplan trees in Season 15 stop being simple activity boosts once you factor in the Prime Evil Powers. Certain nodes carry a green leaf icon, and those nodes gain a stronger, second effect the moment your matching Prime Power reaches a set rank. Pick the wrong Power for the content you farm and you leave most of a tree’s value on the table.
Quick answer: Use Splinter of Hatred to raise glyphs in The Pit and collect runes in Nightmare Dungeons; choose Splinter of Destruction for Undercity Paragon and Lair Boss loot; reserve Splinter of Terror for Helltides, Infernal Hordes, and Whispers.
How Prime Evil Powers change Warplan nodes
Every Warplan tree has passive nodes you unlock as the tree levels. Some of those nodes are marked with a green leaf. A green-leaf node works on its own, but it also lists a bonus effect tied to a specific Prime Evil Power at a specific rank. When your active Power is one of those and it has hit the listed rank, the extra effect turns on automatically.
Because only one Prime Power is active at a time, the tree you invest in and the Power you carry need to match. That single choice decides whether a node gives its baseline reward or its far larger upgraded version.

Add to Google Preferences →Prime Evil Power ranking for Season 15
| Prime Power | Best for | Key activities |
|---|---|---|
| Splinter of Hatred | Glyph leveling, rune/altar loot | The Pit, Nightmare Dungeons |
| Splinter of Destruction | Paragon XP, bonus uniques/runes | The Undercity, Lair Bosses |
| Splinter of Terror | General farming (lowest value) | Helltides, Infernal Hordes, Whispers |
Splinter of Hatred is the strongest overall. Its bonuses drive the biggest glyph upgrade gains in The Pit and unlock overpowered altar and rune drops inside Nightmare Dungeons, which is why it sits at the top for endgame progression.
Splinter of Destruction is close behind. It turns the Undercity into the fastest Paragon farm and adds extra loot to Lair Boss runs, so it is the pick when you are pushing character levels or hunting boss drops.
Splinter of Terror covers Helltides, Infernal Hordes, and the Tree of Whispers. Those activities give the least value per run, so this Power is the least impactful of the three for most players.
The Pit: fastest glyph leveling with Splinter of Hatred
The Pit exists to level glyphs, and Splinter of Hatred pushes that harder than anything else. Path toward the nodes that stack glyph upgrade chance and keep the run fast.
- Choron’s Blessing — adds +1 glyph upgrade chance when you finish. With Splinter of Hatred at Rank 20, upgrade success is calculated as though you had cleared 10 additional tiers.
- Choron’s Haste — awards +1 upgrade chance for each 10 minutes remaining on the timer; at Rank 18 Splinter of Hatred, that becomes +1 for every 5 minutes left.
- Pit Butcher — gives The Butcher a chance to appear as the Guardian; killing him instantly finishes the entire Pit run.

You know the setup is working when a Pit clear offers glyph upgrades at a success rate far above your actual tier, letting a glyph climb several levels in only a couple of runs.
Nightmare Dungeons: altar spam for runes and loot
Nightmare Dungeons pair with Splinter of Hatred to generate huge loot from a single altar. The two nodes that matter are Horadric Hunter and Goblinfall.
Horadric Hunter reveals a Horadric Altar once you have killed 25 elites across Nightmare Dungeons. Activating the altar can trigger one of several results, such as summoning elites, Treasure Goblins, or The Butcher. At Rank 12 Splinter of Hatred, an elite kill may reveal an altar immediately, bypassing the 25-kill wait.
Clicking the altar repeatedly in quick succession spawns wave after wave of enemies and bosses that drop enormous amounts of loot along with high-tier runes such as Ber, Lo, and Sur. The effect also applies inside seasonal Altar Chronicle of Nightmares runs.

Goblinfall gives Treasure Goblins a slight chance to leave behind a Nightmare Sigil bearing the Treasure Breach affix, keeping more sigils in circulation.
The Undercity: top Paragon farm with Splinter of Destruction
The Undercity is the fastest place to level Paragon once Splinter of Destruction is active. The core node is Jade Epiphany, backed by Idols of War for extra tribute drops.
Jade Epiphany creates Experience Orbs whenever you gain an Attunement level and also increases Monster Power inside the Undercity. At Rank 4 Splinter of Destruction, the Experience Orb yield rises by 50%, and Monster Power gets an extra increase of one, letting a single run provide a substantial portion of a level.

Idols of War lets Greater Tributes of Armaments drop anywhere in Sanctuary and adds an extra Bargain choice. To build higher tributes, use the Horadric Cube: transmute five blue tributes into one yellow tribute, then five yellow tributes into a legendary tribute.
Lair Bosses: the Nemesis portal chain
Lair Bosses clear in seconds, and the middle path chains boss arenas together for stacked rewards. Take the three central nodes in order.
- Two by Two — after opening a Hoard Chest, a portal has a low chance to open into a Nemesis Lair with two Initiate Lair Bosses. Rank 13 Splinter of Destruction raises that portal chance.
- Greater Nemesis — completing a Nemesis Lair can open a portal to a Greater Nemesis Lair holding two Greater Lair Bosses.
- Ultimate Nemesis — clearing the Greater Nemesis Lair spawns a Crucible of Evil that takes 3 Superior Lair Keys and opens the Ultimate Nemesis Lair, where the boss awards 10 Hoard Chests worth of items.
Belial’s throne room offers no route into a Nemesis Lair, so build your chain around opening a standard Hoard Chest.
Tree of Whispers: Resplendent Sparks and fast caches
The Tree of Whispers rewards you passively as you play, so it does not need active Warplan pathing. The node to prioritize is Resplendent Favor.
Resplendent Favor gives each Whisper Cache a chance to drop a Resplendent Spark. At Rank 22 Splinter of Hatred, any Spark you would gain this way becomes two instead. Grim Retribution and Tree of Plenty add ambush loot and a fourth cache choice for players who want more from the tree.

For quick cache progress, hunt world map bosses with an active Whisper that awards 5 Grim Favors; the Seething Abomination in PvP zones is another target worth 5 Grim Favors.
Helltides and Infernal Hordes: lower-value trees
Helltides and Infernal Hordes both sit under Splinter of Terror, and both give less per run than the other activities. Helltides feel weaker than they once did, so invest only enough to cover the rewards you specifically need, such as cinders and Lair Keys.

Infernal Hordes offers Council Coffers and chaos waves, but a full run takes long enough that it is the last activity worth committing points to. If you are chasing exclusive Horde drops it has a place; otherwise, the other trees return far more per minute of play.
Set your Prime Power to match whatever you are running before you start, confirm the green-leaf nodes on that tree list your active Power at its current rank, and the upgraded effects will trigger as you clear. That single habit is what separates a baseline Warplan run from the far larger loot the system is capable of producing.
