Fisch: How to Get the Veiled Gauntlets

The Veiled Gauntlets are a Mythical gloves accessory in Fisch, handed out as the final reward in the Mariana’s Awakening questline. You unlock them by finishing the Phantom Frequencies quest for Resonus at the Veil of the Forsaken, and the whole task hinges on one rod and two Perfect Catch objectives.

Quick answer: Buy the Leviathan’s Fang Rod, then Perfect Catch 5 Gargoyle Goby and 3 Wraith-Whisper Ray at the Veil of the Forsaken and return to Resonus to receive the Veiled Gauntlets and 50,000 XP.

What the Veiled Gauntlets do

When equipped, the Veiled Gauntlets convert part of your current Progress Speed into Forced Progress Speed the moment you hook a Hunt Fish. Forced Progress Speed cannot be pushed back by the fish, so the conversion is most useful during hard Hunt Fish encounters where a normal bar keeps slipping.

Requirements before you start

The quest only accepts catches made with the Leviathan’s Fang Rod. That rod costs 350,000 C$ and becomes available for purchase after you defeat Scylla, so clear that boss first if you have not already.

You must also reach Mariana’s Veil’s deepest layer, the Veil of the Forsaken, located in the Calm Zone. The Traveler’s Whistle offers the quickest route, but a boat works as well.

Equipping the Mutated Sharky companion and drinking a Glitched Potion before fishing raises your odds of landing the mutations and Perfect Catches you need.

Fish conditions for Phantom Frequencies

Both fish live in the Veil of the Forsaken and only appear reliably under the right season, time, and weather. Line up those conditions before you cast, since both objectives require Foggy weather at Night.

How to unlock the Veiled Gauntlets

Make your way to the Calm Zone’s Veil of the Forsaken by boat or with the Traveler’s Whistle. Resonus is on a stone ledge amid the crystals near the fishing pool, at around GPS -2370, -11145, 6542.

Interact with Resonus and accept the Phantom Frequencies quest. Make sure the Leviathan’s Fang Rod is in your inventory before you begin the catches, as no other rod counts toward the objectives.

Land 5 Perfect Catches of Gargoyle Goby using Worm bait during Autumn, at Night, in Foggy weather. This is the Common fish, so it comes up frequently once the conditions match.

Land 3 Perfect Catches of Wraith-Whisper Ray using Squid bait during Spring or Autumn, at Night, in Foggy weather. This is the Legendary target and the harder half of the quest, so keep the Mutated Sharky and Glitched Potion active.

Return to Resonus and talk to him again to hand in Phantom Frequencies. He rewards you with the Veiled Gauntlets and 50,000 XP.

Confirming you got them

After the turn-in, the Veiled Gauntlets appear in your inventory and the 50,000 XP is added to your total. Open the Accessories menu and hold, then click the item to equip it; the gauntlets show up on your character’s hand, and the Forced Progress Speed conversion kicks in the next time you hook a Hunt Fish. With that done, you have the last gloves needed to complete the Mariana’s Awakening gauntlet set.
