Control Resonant: How to Solve the Birdwatcher’s Paradise Puzzle

The Birdwatcher’s paradise secret sits on an apartment rooftop terrace in the Downtown zone of Control Resonant, tucked northeast of the Oldest House and south of the West Supply Route Station. When Dylan inspects the seating area, he talks about wanting a spot to watch and draw birds, then notes that he needs to “make the place look the part.” Solving it means gathering the decorative pieces scattered across the neighboring rooftops and returning them to the deck.

Quick answer: Collect three white bird statues and three potted plants from the surrounding rooftops, place each on its matching marker on the deck, then hold the interact key to Draw.

Where to find the Birdwatcher’s paradise rooftop in Downtown

Open the map and look for the question mark secret icon in Downtown, positioned between the Oldest House and the West Supply Route Station. The marker only confirms a hidden objective, so you still need to reach it on foot. From street level, use levitation to jump up to the apartment building’s rooftop patio, which is the wooden deck with terrace seating.

At the terrace bench, activate the Birdwatcher’s paradise prompt. Dylan will speak, confirming the location and opening the puzzle.

What to collect and where each piece goes

Six items are spread across rooftops linked to the terrace or beside it. Bring them over individually and place each on a marked deck spot. Set the bird statues (also shown as goose or swan figurines) on the brown rock markers and leaf symbols beside the table; put the potted plants on the white rock markers around the deck.

You cannot use the Draw interaction while carrying an object, so drop each piece on its spot before moving to the next one.

Drop the statue onto a marker and line it up with the spot. One bird belongs on the small green table, while the others sit on the brown rock markers and leaf symbols on the deck boards.

Fetch the first potted plant from near the rooftop vents. Look for the F interaction prompt, pick it up, and bring it to a white rock marker on the deck.

Climb across the higher rooftop sections and over the air conditioning units to reach the remaining bird statues. Retrieve each one and carry it back down to the deck.

Collect the second potted plant from an adjacent rooftop and set it on its white rock marker. Then jump down to the lower roof near the red flare lights to grab the third and final potted plant, and carry it back up to the terrace.

Drop the last potted plant on its marker. Once every object is on its spot, Dylan confirms the layout with the line “That’s it.”

Stand in front of the completed terrace and hold the interact key to trigger the Draw prompt. Dylan sits down and sketches the scene in his notepad.

How to confirm the puzzle is complete and claim Rooftop Oasis

After the sketch cutscene, a pop-up reads +1 Undefined Reading and names the collectible Rooftop Oasis. That notification is your confirmation the secret is finished. You can review the sketch by opening the Archives menu and heading to the Collectibles tab, where the Rooftop Oasis entry is logged as “Sketched in Downtown,” with the note on its back reading, “Me, 30 or 40 years from now, I hope.”
