The Complete Set is a side story in Control Resonant that sends Dylan chasing a collection of vintage Altered speakers and a single subwoofer scattered across Manhattan. Containing every piece counts toward the Panopticon Intern trophy and achievement for gathering all Altered items, and finishing the quest hands you the Untapped Bout Guard artifact.

Quick answer: Contain all four runaway speakers (coffee shop, Auction House, Auction Buyer’s alley, Museum of Curiosities), get the SR keycard from Langston to grab the subwoofer in the Oldest House, then place each piece on its matching surface at the Auction House and complete the ritual.

Requirements before you start

You need to reach the Central region to begin. The quest can be triggered from several search points, but the earliest opening is an apartment building in the western corner of Central, where you pick up a note that starts the mission. You can also kick it off by approaching the speaker inside the small coffee shop in Central.

Reaching the Auction House in Downtown requires the Shift ability, which you unlock in the West Incursion Zone. Without it, part of Downtown stays inaccessible.

How to contain all four speakers

Every speaker behaves the same way. When you get close and try to grab it, it darts around the room and can deal damage. Wait for it to pause, then rush in and interact to subdue it so you can pick it up.

Collector’s Apartment and the construction site

Enter the apartment building in western Central, go to the second floor, and take the first door on the left. In the left corner, interact with the phone to collect the Pete, Nina and Lester recording and receive the mission.
Go back outdoors. Across from the apartment, the speaker is next to the trash bins.
When you approach, it flees into the nearby construction site. Chase it, wait for it to stop, then interact to subdue and collect it.

Museum of Curiosities

Travel to the West Incursion Zone and head to its south corner. You cannot jump here directly from the Collector’s Apartment. If you have visited before, use a fast travel door.
Destroy all three Hiss orbs to unlock the entrance, using the red lines overhead to locate them. One is due south along the road that has become a wall, another is northwest in the upper shifted area, and the last is north of the building, past the back alley near the lasers.
Once inside, collect the note from the front desk. Head to the rear and press the red button before the speaker. Pursue it through the museum and subdue it when it comes to a stop.

Auction House

Reach the center of Downtown’s “Dense Patterning” area to access the Auction House. Take out the Hiss on the rooftop before going inside.
Speak with the person standing on the balcony. The speaker then appears and starts moving around the room. Chase it down and subdue it.
Go back to the balcony and collect the note positioned left of the person, then take the There’s People In There recording beside the nearby couches. The note you leave here, The SINKKI D50 Speaker Set, explains where to position the items for the ritual later.

Coffee shop near the Auction Buyer’s Apartment

In eastern Central, head to the Auction Buyer’s Apartment. Go up to the third floor and enter the open apartment to grab the Exchange Location Note.
Go outside and travel west to the coffee shop. Deal with the nearby Hiss before entering, then use the speaker on the table.
Chase the speaker outside, wait for it to stop, and interact to capture it.

How to find the missing subwoofer

The subwoofer is the hardest piece to track because much of the Bureau does not know where it went. To locate it, speak with Frederick Langston, head of the Field Panopticon, near the FBC Field Office in the southeast corner of the exterior area in Central.

Langston provides the Oldest House Storage room keycard, which opens doors requiring SR Clearance Level. Travel to the Oldest House and ride the elevator up to enter the building, then take the second elevator down to Executive Research. Turn left when you exit and keep going to the corner; the SR Clearance door is there.

Use the subwoofer in the corner. It rushes into the corridor and calls in a wave of Hiss. Defeat the enemies, chase after the subwoofer, and contain it.

Ritual placement at the Auction House

At Downtown’s Auction House again, place every piece on the couch to the person’s right. Pick up the items individually and set each one on the surface specified in the SINKKI D50 note.

Speaker 3Untreated woodWooden bench in the other upstairs section, close to the generators
Speaker 4BlueBlue tarp draped over the edge of the other upstairs section

Once everything is in place, interact with the person at the console. The civilian adopts a Hiss-like stance, and the speakers start blasting loud sound. Reach and switch off all four speakers before time runs out; otherwise, they turn back on and you’ll need to repeat the sequence.

The final choice and reward

Once the speakers are off, return to the subwoofer and interact with it. You hear two voices, the woman and the entity inside the Altered item. You can either turn off the subwoofer or turn the volume up.

  • Turn off the subwoofer: the Altered item’s influence ends and the mission finishes immediately, but the civilian dies.
  • Turn the volume up: the entity takes over the woman’s body and she survives. Talk to the civilian afterward to complete the mission.

Either choice ends with the same reward: the recipe for the Bout Guard artifact, which increases Power recovery by 50% while causing Dylan to take 20% more damage. The quest closes as soon as you make the final choice, or after the civilian conversation if you turned the volume up.

If the final prompt does not appear

Some players hit a bug where the final choice prompt never shows up and talking to the woman just repeats the same line. Remedy has listed the missing subwoofer interaction prompt as a known issue and plans a fix in a future update. There is no official workaround yet, but these steps have resolved it for some players:

  • Load an autosave and start the conversation with the woman again.
  • Use Fast Travel to exit the Auction House, then retrace your route to return.
  • Restart the game.

If none of these work, set the quest aside and come back to it later. Once the mission clears, the Bout Guard recipe lands in your inventory and the side story disappears from your active list, confirming The Complete Set is finished.
