he ate them. [HORROR] is an episodic Roblox horror game built around a simple, grim rule: feed the content creator Steak anything healthy and he turns into a violent monster. You attend a meet-and-greet at his apartment building, the situation collapses within minutes, and the first two chapters follow your attempt to get out alive while the people around Steak are picked off one by one.
Quick answer: Chapters 1 and 2 are both playable now. Chapter 1 traps you in Steak’s building; Chapter 2 moves to his parents’ house and ends by revealing that the “Romy” you tried to rescue was a shapeshifting mimic.
The premise: why Steak turns into a monster
Steak is a popular content creator who lives in a high-rise apartment building. His friend Cruz swapped his usual food for carrots as a prank, and eating vegetables is exactly what sets off the transformation. Instead of a harmless joke, the carrots turn Steak into a huge, aggressive creature who attacks his own friends and family, including his father.
The core cast stays small and connected, which is what drives the plot forward across both chapters.
| Character | Role |
|---|---|
| Steak | Content creator who mutates into a monster after eating vegetables |
| Cruz | Friend who fed Steak carrots; later reappears bandaged and on crutches |
| Splink | Steak and Cruz’s brother, who drives you to their parents’ home. |
| Romy / the mimic | Believed to be Cruz’s trapped sister, but actually a shapeshifting creature |

The game opens in the building’s lobby, where a framed portrait of Steak hangs on the wall. Cruz is sitting on the floor beside a plate of baby carrots and a toy blaster. He explains that his food swap sent Steak over the edge, and he points you toward Room 67. A short timed prompt sends you into the lobby elevator before it closes.
On the upper floor, a trail of cookies leads down the hallway to the door marked 67. Inside the dark apartment, Steak is found sitting on the floor eating cookies. A loud plumbing noise interrupts him, and he leaves the room after telling you to stay put.

Your scream outside brings up a brief “HIDE IN THE BATHROOM” countdown. Steak checks the apartment one room at a time, opens the bathroom door, warns you not to use the flush, then leaves to bring back food. Once he’s gone, your objective switches to escaping the building.
As you head out, a voice from behind a locked door says she is Romy, Cruz’s sister, and pleads for help. The door stays shut, so she asks you to find someone.

Back in the hallway, the elevator opens to reveal Cruz holding a toy blaster. He offers to protect you and return to rescue Romy. Speaking to her through the door, he learns the key is inside Steak’s bedroom. When Cruz moves toward it, the monstrous Steak ambushes him and drags him inside.

After Cruz leaves, the objective switches to finding the key. While Steak isn’t watching, you enter the bedroom and take the key from the nightstand.

Using the key does not free Romy. Instead, a giant monstrous arm bursts out of the doorway, the first clear sign that whoever was inside is not human.

A “RUN” prompt launches a chase through a hallway that’s collapsing around you, with furniture flying and barricades in the way. You reach the elevator and get inside as its doors close, but Steak wrenches them open again for one last scare. The screen then cuts to the Chapter 1 completion card.

Chapter 2: the parents’ house and the mimic reveal
After a recap, Chapter 2 begins with you waking on Floor 66 in a red-lit corridor. You descend the stairwell past floor numbers 66 through 62, take a staff-only elevator on a short timer, and arrive in a cluttered basement hallway. A voice behind a locked door promises to find a key while the lights cut out and a “SURVIVE” phase begins in the dark.
A man in a red shirt pulls you to safety and offers to drive you out in his car. During the ride he introduces himself as Splink, brother to both Steak and Cruz. He confirms the vegetable rule behind Steak’s transformation and casts doubt on whether Romy was ever really in that room.
At his parents’ house, Splink lets you explore before showing you to a guest room in the basement. Sleeping in the stained bed drops you into a surreal nightmare, where you pick up a flashlight and move through distorted hallways, a floating red egg portal, and doors suspended in a void. Waking up awards the Insane badge and points you toward noises upstairs.
Opening the front door reveals Cruz, now heavily bandaged, in a cast and on crutches. He and Splink reunite, then a landline phone rings in the kitchen. An unknown caller confirms they know everyone is home before the line dies. With the phone dead, the group decides to go live from Steak’s streaming office to reach viewers for help.
Cruz goes live and recounts the carrot incident to chat when the power cuts out. After a round of rock-paper-scissors, you go to the second-floor fuse box and restore power. On your way back down, Steak stops you on the stairs and reprimands you for freeing a mimic that had posed as Romy. A distorted mimic dressed in pink then leaps out and tackles Steak.
One last “RUN” chase takes you through corridors and basement tunnels, where Steak and the mimic trap you against a wall. The screen fades to black with a notice that Chapter 2 is complete and 100K likes are needed for Chapter 3, and you receive the Chapter 2 badge. The standoff has no resolution, leaving the story on a cliffhanger.
Badges you can earn in Chapters 1 and 2
Playing through both chapters unlocks a set of completion and event badges. Two of them mark finishing each chapter, while the others tie to specific moments such as the timed hiding sequence and the nightmare.
| Badge | When it unlocks |
|---|---|
| Chapter 1 Completed! | Finishing the elevator escape at the end of Chapter 1 |
| Clocks Ticking | Tied to the timed hide/exit sequence in the apartment |
| Don’t Mess With Me! | Awarded during Chapter 1’s confrontation events |
| Insane | Waking up from the surreal nightmare in Chapter 2 |
| Chapter 2 Completed! | Being cornered by Steak and the mimic to end Chapter 2 |
What Chapter 3 needs
The ending screen sets a community goal rather than a date: Chapter 3 is tied to the game reaching 100K likes. No release date or time for the next chapter is currently confirmed, so the mimic-and-Steak cliffhanger is where the story stands for now. Both existing chapters remain fully playable, and the two completion badges confirm you have reached each ending.
