How to unlock the quest in Toussaint

You start it by finding and speaking with Le Papillon, a composer also known as Adrien de Rouleau, who stands south of the Nilfgaardian Embassy signpost in Beauclair. He tells Geralt that his hairdresser and friend has gone missing.
You can haggle over the pay, but the total will be low compared to a standard contract. Once you agree on a price, the search begins.
The prerequisite only matters because Le Papillon is busy announcing the tournament. He moves to Jean-Louis’s house once the tournament ends. If the prerequisite fails and you begin Capture the Castle, the quest still unlocks, but you must wait until after either Tesham Mutna or Burlap is the New Stripe, depending on how events play out.

- Against the Archespore, coat your silver sword with Cursed Oil and use Igni to burn it for an opening.
- Against Beau Duvall and his squires, coat your steel sword with Hanged Man’s Venom and counter their attacks to strike while they are vulnerable.
Reward and the Queen’s Pageboy haircut
After the fight, Le Papillon performs his ballad. He admits he cannot pay, but Jean-Louis rewards Geralt with 150 crowns for the rescue, and the quest ends.
You can tell the quest succeeded when Jean-Louis starts working as a hairdresser at his salon, positioned directly to the south of the Nilfgaardian Embassy. He provides the usual beards and hairstyles available from other barbers, along with the exclusive Queen’s Pageboy haircut—the same disastrous look that set these events in motion. Later, Le Papillon performs his new ballad outside the Cianfanelli Bank at The Gran’place.
This quest cannot be missed or failed, so there is no time pressure to reach it beyond the prerequisite conditions. Once Jean-Louis is back in his chair, you are free to try the new cut whenever you like.
