Hsin, the Moon Fox Sentinel of Mengzhou, works as both a main DPS and a sub-DPS, and both of her extra investments push different parts of that flexible kit. If you have the pulls for only one, the choice comes down to her first Sequence (S1) or her signature Rectifier, Blooming Jadehaven (R1). They do not compete for the same job, and one of them clearly moves her damage more.
Quick answer: Pull the Blooming Jadehaven (R1) first. It amplifies Hsin’s Resonance Skill damage, feeds both her Electro Flare and Unison routes, and hands her 24.3% Crit Rate as a main stat, which the first Sequence cannot match for raw output.
What the Blooming Jadehaven (R1) gives Hsin
The Blooming Jadehaven is Hsin’s signature Rectifier, and nearly every line of its passive lands on a damage tag she actually uses. At R1 it is a direct output boost rather than a comfort pick.
- Grants a 12% All-Attribute DMG Bonus.
- After Hsin inflicts Electro Flare or triggers Unison, her Resonance Skill DMG is amplified by 36% and ignores 10% of the target’s Electro RES.
- Targets within range take 30% more Electro Flare DMG for 30 seconds as long as Hsin is on the field.
The weapon also carries 24.3% Crit Rate in its main stat line alongside 588 base ATK. That Crit Rate frees your Echo slots to lean into Crit DMG, so it is easy to build Hsin with a balanced Crit ratio and high overall damage. Because both of her Resonance Modes can trigger the passive, you get the full value whether you run Electro Flare or Unison.
What Hsin’s first Sequence (S1) gives
S1, “A Boat to Cross the Rising Tide,” is mostly a survivability and quality-of-life upgrade with a small amount of amplification layered on top. It does not change how Hsin plays.
- Casting Resonance Liberation – Formshift grants stacks of Radiance Ward that can be consumed to reduce damage taken by 60% and make her immune to interruption for 1 second.
- In Unison Mode, the multipliers of her Manifold Unison Intro Skills rise by 15%, with each Unison Boon stack adding another 10% up to four stacks.
- In Electro Flare Mode, entering combat tops Heart of Thunder up to 50 stacks if it is below that, and raises the Electro Flare damage her Resonance Skill triggers.
The interruption resistance and damage reduction make her sturdier in longer fights, and the mode-specific lines give a modest bump to whichever route you run. It is genuinely useful, but the gains are smaller and narrower than what the weapon provides.
R1 vs S1: Why the weapon wins
The gap is about where each investment lands. The Blooming Jadehaven stacks Resonance Skill amplification, Electro RES shred, Electro Flare amplification and Crit Rate all at once, and every piece of that applies to Hsin’s core damage cycle. S1 spends most of its budget on staying alive and on smaller multiplier bumps that only fire under specific conditions.

For a character built as a Crit-scaling Electro DPS, the weapon simply raises her ceiling far more than the first Sequence does. If your goal is the strongest Hsin your pulls can buy, the Rectifier is the correct target.
When you can skip the signature
Blooming Jadehaven isn’t required for Hsin. If you own Lethean Elegy or Stringmaster, either weapon provides strong Crit Rate and Resonance Skill support, so she performs well without her signature. Stringmaster’s 36% Crit Rate makes her easy to build, while Lethean Elegy’s Resonance Skill bonus matches her main damage tag. Cosmic Ripples and the 4-star Fusion Accretion are budget options.
For most accounts, stop at S0 Hsin; pull for Blooming Jadehaven only if doing so won’t cost you a teammate you need. Her supports, including Suoming for Unison or Electro Rover and Buling for Electro Flare, generally matter more than an early Sequence.
If you do want to push her Resonance Chain later, S3 is the standout node for damage, since it strengthens Resonance Liberation – Pillars Across Heaven in both modes. S1 remains a fine early comfort pickup, but between the two choices here, the Blooming Jadehaven is the one that turns Hsin into the meta Electro damage dealer she is built to be.
