Leveling in Aion 2 has a hard ceiling right now: every character tops out at level 45. A relaxed playthrough that mixes in side content lands around 12 hours, but if all you want is the cap, you can cut that dramatically by being ruthless about which quests you touch. The trick is to treat the main story as your engine and only step off it to clear the specific gates that block progression.
Quick answer: Follow the yellow main story for XP and complete only the green side quests needed to fill the Ascension gauge at levels 22 and 32. A practiced run reaches level 45 in about four hours.

Why the main story carries the run
Main story quests pay out far more experience than anything else in the game, so they are the backbone of any fast route. The complication is the Ascension gauge, a meter that has to be filled before the story will let you continue. At a couple of fixed points, the story simply stops until that gauge hits 100 percent, and the only way to top it up is through green side quests.
That is why a pure story rush does not work. You hand-pick a small number of side quests at exact breakpoints, clear the gate, and jump straight back onto the main chain. Everything else gets skipped.
Side quests scale to your current level, so there is no penalty for ignoring most of them early and only doing the handful listed below when the story demands it.

Ascension gauge gates to watch
The two spots that stop every speedrun are the same every time: around level 22 and again at level 32. If the main story suddenly refuses to advance, the gauge is the reason, not a bug. The side quests listed in the route exist specifically to fill it, so clear them in order, and the next story segment unlocks immediately.
Expected time and the power tradeoff
With no distractions, this route caps a character in roughly four hours. A first attempt usually runs longer, and five or six hours is a perfectly respectable number if this is your first time through.
The cost of skipping content is raw power. Because you bypass most side quests, your character arrives at 45 a little weaker than one that leveled at a slower pace, which can bite against tougher enemies. Lean on your strongest skills and swap in better gear whenever it drops. Even small bumps to damage and defense add up and keep boss fights from stalling the run.

You will know the speedrun is finished when your character hits level 45, the current cap, and the experience bar stops filling. At that point, the race is over, and endgame progression takes over from leveling.
