Fortnitemares 2026 puts seven bosses on the Fortnite island at once, mixing horror crossovers with returning season fights. Each one drops a mythic weapon alongside other loot, and a few of them hide in ways that make them easy to walk past. Here is where every boss spawns and exactly what you collect for taking it down.
Quick answer: There are seven Fortnitemares bosses active now. Freddy Krueger, Freddy Fazbear, Foxy, Chica, Bonnie, Adam Smasher, and Hush each drop a mythic weapon when defeated.

All seven Fortnitemares 2026 bosses, locations, and mythic drops

| Bonnie | Random locations across the island | Wood Stake Shotgun |

Add to Google Preferences →Freddy Krueger at Nightmare Neighborhood
Freddy Krueger roams Nightmare Neighborhood, the Halloween version of what used to be Battlewoods. He does not reliably show up as a skull icon, and he often does not appear as himself. Much of the time he walks around disguised as a regular NPC, so you will see a standard NPC marker on the map and only trigger the fight once you get close. He can even take the form of your own skin, which makes him hard to spot.
Once the fight starts, he teleports around and rushes you with his claw, so expect fast, close-range pressure. Beating him drops:
- Freddy’s Nightmare, a mythic melee weapon that teleports you into striking range before slashing
- Slap Candy Corn
- A random Fortnitemares Sprite
- 1-Up Token Power-Up
Watch for a lone NPC icon inside the neighborhood rather than waiting for a boss marker to appear.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s animatronics
Four animatronic bosses come from the Five Nights at Freddy’s crossover. They all fight the same way and drop the same loot, including a new item that lets you take over their body.
Freddy Fazbear and Foxy
Freddy and Foxy both begin at the Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria POI, in the map’s far north-east, below the Pac-Man island and near Nightmare Neighborhood. Their usual position is by the stage; however, if a squad gets to the pizzeria ahead of you, they may have moved away from where they started.
Chica and Bonnie
These two have no fixed spawn. They appear at completely random points across the island and do not show up as skull icons, so finding them comes down to luck rather than planning. If you cross paths with one while doing something else, the fight and rewards match Freddy and Foxy. Hunting them down on purpose usually burns more time than it is worth.
Defeating any of the four animatronics gives you:
- Wood Stake Shotgun (mythic)
- Chug Jug
- A random Sprite, with a chance at a Vampire Sprite
- Possess Animatronic Shell
The top reward is the Possess Animatronic Shell. After defeating an animatronic, use it to take on that enemy’s form for the rest of the match. You fight from within its body rather than reverting to your usual skin. When its health is depleted, a brief grace period passes before the shell breaks and control returns to you.

Adam Smasher near Geno’s Machine
Adam Smasher remains active for the event, as he was in the regular season. His patrol most often takes him near Geno’s Machine, around the map’s center. You might also find him at Sunken Shores; alternatively, he may arrive through a Boss Drop Rift Anomaly at any random island location.
He has a huge vertical leap, so high ground is far less reliable against him than usual. Even from a cliff, he can jump straight up to your level and start attacking. Taking him down drops:
- Rebecca’s Guns, the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners mythic
- Chug Jug
- A random Sprite
- 1-Up Token Power-Up

Hush at Reality’s Reign and Heatwave Harbor
Hush remains on the island, though the Fortnitemares update changed where she spawns. Look for her at Reality’s Reign or Heatwave Harbor. Battlewoods is no longer a spawn point for her, as that area has become Nightmare Neighborhood. She may also appear through a Boss Drop Rift Anomaly at a random island location, as Adam Smasher can.
Defeating her drops:
- Enhanced Assault Rifle (mythic)
- Chug Jug
- A random Sprite, with an increased chance for Gold
- 1-Up Token Power-Up
The higher gold Sprite odds make Hush the best target if you are chasing rare cosmetic drops.

How to confirm a boss is down
Each boss falls once per match and does not respawn, so once you eliminate one its loot pile drops on the spot. Walk over and pick up the mythic weapon and the Chug Jug or Slap Candy Corn right away, since other squads can grab it if you leave it behind. For the animatronics, the Possess Animatronic Shell appears in that same drop and only works after the kill.
More bosses expected on October 15
Fortnitemares 2026 is set to receive a second update on October 15 that is expected to add more bosses to the island. The full details are not confirmed yet, so no additional spawn locations or mythic drops are locked in for that wave. Until then, the seven bosses above are the complete lineup, and the event runs through November 1.
