Training dummies in Aion 2 let you rehearse skills, combos, and macros in a safe town without any enemy fighting back. They are not marked on your map, and because Elyos and Asmodian characters start in different regions, each faction reaches a different set of dummies. In the game, they are called Training Scarecrows.
Quick answer: Elyos players find them west of the Dawn Legion Base fast travel point in Verteron; Asmodian players find them northeast of the Safe Haven fast travel point in Altgard. Both open up at Level 10.
Elyos Training Scarecrow location in Verteron
On the Elyos side, head to the Veteron map and travel to the Dawn Legion Base fast travel point in Cantas Valley. Five Training Scarecrows sit just west of that point, right beside the command center and north of the Veteron Monolith where you turn in Empyrean Trace Feathers.
You reach this spot the moment you first enter the map at Level 10, immediately after the tutorial ends. The dummies are active from that point, so there is no further unlock to wait for.
Asmodian Training Scarecrow location in Altgard
On the Asmodian side, open the Altgard map and travel to Safe Haven. Immediately outside the main command structure, northeast of the fast-travel point, you’ll find four Training Scarecrows. The pair on the left is on a balcony above the area below the stairs; the other two are on the right.
Like the Elyos spot, this area becomes reachable once you hit Level 10. Follow the main story missions and leave the tutorial hub, and the dummies are ready to use.
How the Training Scarecrows behave
These dummies exist so you can practice your class moves, skill rotations, and timing without drawing monsters or worrying about killing the target. A few rules define how they work.
- They have infinite health. The bar drops to show your damage, then refills instantly when it reaches zero.
- They match your level. A Level 10 character faces a Level 10 dummy; a Level 45 character faces a Level 45 dummy.
- They are shared across the server, so several players can hit the same scarecrow at once.
To use one, approach it and target it the same way you would any enemy, then run your skills. Because the dummies sit inside safe towns and bases, you can test skill orders, rotations, animation timing, and cooldown management without searching for mobs in the open world.
The Melee Training Scarecrow strikes back
Most scarecrows stand still no matter what you do to them. The Melee Training Scarecrow is the exception. When you attack it, it answers with a melee-range shockwave after a short delay, and a warning circle appears before the hit lands.
That retaliation lets you practice dodge timing, reflect damage, and any mechanic that only triggers when you take a hit. Both Dawn Legion Base and Safe Haven hold regular and Melee Training Scarecrows, so each faction can rehearse offense and defensive reactions in the same spot.
