Find all six body parts, knock Happy’s head off the Ram at night, and earn three badges for Happy’s Cart.

Happy, the Halloween pumpkin guy, returns to 99 Nights in the Forest for the 2026 season, and the Ram smashes him apart the moment he arrives. Your job across a single run is to track down his six scattered body parts, carry each one back to camp by hand, rebuild him, and then recover his head after the Ram knocks it loose a second time. Along the way you level up Happy’s Scythe and earn three badges. The event went live on October 3, 2026.

Quick answer: Pick up Happy’s Scythe by the stake near camp, bring back the six pieces and restore him, then at night draw the Ram into a sturdy object to make it drop his head and put the head back on.

Start the event and pick up Happy’s Scythe

Happy appears on the map as soon as a run begins; you need no quest activation, class, or level to find him. Check your map or search around the campfire for the wooden stake with his carved pumpkin head.

Talk to Happy and watch the brief cutscene showing what the Ram did to him. He asks you to find his pieces and assemble him again at the stake. Before setting out, take Happy’s Scythe from the ground next to him.

The Scythe serves two purposes: it removes cobwebs and spider sacks blocking certain structures and paths, and it gains levels when used against webs or enemies. It tops out at Level 3; its appearance turns purple at Level 2, then dark energy surrounds it at Level 3. Whenever a web is safe to clear, cut it to build Scythe progress and work toward a badge.

A broken web may drop a random item such as ammo or food, or it may pull a Cultist into the fight. Avoid clearing webs at the edge of the map if your health is low and you have no backup.

All six Happy body part locations

The six pieces are the Left Leg, Right Leg, Left Arm, Right Arm, Torso, and Hat. Each one is tied to a fixed structure or enemy, but the map is generated fresh every run, so those structures appear in different spots each time. Search by target type rather than by coordinates, and expand your map by upgrading the campfire to open more of the forest.

Right Arm from the Alpha Wolf

The Right Arm can be especially difficult to get. Its Alpha Wolf has 125 HP and hits for 25 damage, so fighting it with a starter weapon is challenging. In The Forest biome, Alpha Wolves appear only after the campfire reaches Level 3, so upgrade it before searching for the arm. In other biomes, Alpha Wolves appear only at night.

Hat from the Cultist

The Cultist carrying the Hat is easier, sitting at roughly 100 to 150 HP. These enemies already show up during nightly camp raids, so you often do not need to go looking far. Defeat the Cultist and collect the dropped Hat.

Torso from the Pumpkin Farm cart

Locate the Pumpkin Farm and the cart trapping the Torso. Gather eight pumpkins there and place every one on the cart. Their weight tips it upward, freeing the Torso for you to carry back.

Carry each part back and rebuild Happy

You cannot store body parts in your inventory; each must be carried back individually to the stake beside the campfire. Keep the part selected as you walk, and take care not to fall or get stuck on the route. At the stake, it attaches by itself and the progress counter advances.

Plan to return to camp after each objective instead of leaving every delivery until the search is over. Keep your supplies of food and wood replenished, since the hunt takes several nights and requires multiple journeys. In multiplayer, teammates can divide the structures and combat targets, but all parts must still be delivered to the stake.

Recover Happy’s head from the Ram

Reassembling Happy with all six pieces does not finish the quest. During the celebration, the Ram comes back and knocks his pumpkin head off again. You can tackle this final task only at night; if the quest is still open once the pieces are in place, you still have to deal with the Ram.

Once night falls, locate the Ram wandering around with Happy’s head attached. It is invulnerable, so save your resources instead of attacking it.
Put a solid object, such as a large tree or stone structure, immediately behind you. Wait for the Ram to prepare a charge; it pauses before rushing, giving you time to move.
At the last moment, dodge so the Ram hits the object rather than you. Every collision loosens the head further; keep repeating the maneuver until it falls off, typically after four or five impacts.
When the head drops, pick it up and carry it to Happy’s stake to attach it. Happy will thank you, and the reward menu will appear to confirm the rebuild is finished.

Light frightens the Ram, and it departs when dawn comes. If the head is still attached when morning arrives, you must wait until the following night; begin early in the night to avoid that delay.

Choose your event reward

Once Happy has been rebuilt, he offers a choice of rewards. Select just one, and it remains available for this run only.

  • Laser Cannon — Its projectile fires instantly, dealing 70 damage on a direct hit plus splash damage around the impact. Each shot uses most of the Alien Tech Energy bar. Cyborgs can skip it because they start with one.
  • Vampire Cloak — Incoming damage is reduced, and at night a blood meter fills; reaching full charge heals you. It is less powerful than Iron Armor.
  • Bouncing Blade — An attack can ricochet onto an enemy nearby, while a lifesteal bar builds and restores your health when full.

For most teams, the Laser Cannon is the safest option: its splash attacks can clear the raid waves that end runs. The Vampire Cloak offers little extra if you already wear Iron Armor.

Badges and Happy’s Cart

The main quest comes with three badge challenges. Completing the set unlocks the Happy’s Cart furniture item. Their requirements overlap considerably, so use the Scythe and break webs as you search.

BadgeRequirementDiamonds
ReapingLevel Happy’s Scythe to Level 35
StrawcraftHelp reassemble Happy8
SweepingDestroy 200 webs with Happy’s Scythe8

Webs offer the most efficient progress: every one you cut advances Sweeping toward 200 and adds Scythe XP toward Reaping. Between web clusters, attack wolves and other enemies with the Scythe to keep Reaping moving forward. For Strawcraft, help your team restore Happy by gathering parts instead of waiting at camp. The three badges award 21 Diamonds in total.

You will know the event is done when Happy thanks you after the head goes back on, the reward menu opens, and the badge notifications appear. If Sweeping has not unlocked, keep breaking webs with the Scythe until the badge pops rather than stopping at an estimated count. Once all three badges are earned, Happy’s Cart becomes available to claim, and in-game dialogue points to the next Halloween update arriving on October 17th.
