Ghost of Yotei: How to Unlock All Four PlayStation Armor Sets

Buy the Astro Bot, Journey, The Last of Us, and Helldivers sets from the Most Wanted merchant using Boss Tokens.

The Complete Edition of Ghost of Yotei adds four armor sets that nod to other PlayStation games: The Last of Us, Astro Bot, Journey, and Helldivers 2. Each one reskins Atsu with a dedicated dye for her Onryo armor plus a matching mask, hat, or both. Unlike the unlockable Jin Sakai, these sets aren’t locked to Most Wanted mode once you own them, so you can wear them in a normal playthrough or New Game Plus.

Quick answer: Buy each of the four sets from the Most Wanted merchant for 10 Boss Tokens apiece. Boss Tokens come from clearing Max Threat bounties, which open up after you finish all six hunts once.

Unlock Max Threat bounties first

Boss Tokens only exist on the hardest difficulty tier, so you can’t buy anything until Max Threat is available. That happens after you’ve completed all six hunts in Most Wanted mode for the first time.

Once that’s done, open the Choose Your Bounty screen and press Triangle to switch the hunt over to Max Threat. From that point, every Yotei Six boss you beat on this tier pays out Boss Tokens.

Earning enough Boss Tokens for all four sets

Four sets at 10 tokens each means you need 40 Boss Tokens total. Clearing all six members of the Yotei Six on Max Threat hands out a fixed 39 tokens, which leaves you one short of the full collection on a single run.

That gap is covered by reward chests. On Max Threat, chests sometimes offer a Boss Token in place of Coins, and these extras are how you avoid replaying hunts just to afford that last outfit.

Token drops from chests seem to show up more often when you’re holding a large pile of Coins, so hang onto your currency rather than spending it all between hunts.

The four PlayStation armor sets and their pieces

In Most Wanted mode, find all four sets under Armor Dye Unlocks in the Merchant menu. Here’s what each set includes.

Set (inspiration)Pieces included
Joy of the Stars (Astro Bot)Loyalty in the Stars Hat, Charm of the Stars Mask, Joy of the Stars dye
Wanderer’s Journey (Journey)Wanderer’s Gaze Mask, Wanderer’s Journey dye
Yokai’s Infection (The Last of Us)Blooming Yokai Mask, Yokai’s Infection dye
Champion of Democracy (Helldivers)Sweet Liberty Helmet, Peacekeeping Mask, Champion of Democracy dye

Every set applies its dye to the Onryo armor, so the look layers onto Atsu’s default body gear rather than replacing it with a standalone outfit.

Confirming the unlock and the one-time voice line

After you purchase a set, equip every component of it at once. The first time all the pieces are on, you’ll hear a special audio cue and Atsu delivers a line drawn from or inspired by the game that set references. That confirms the look is fully assembled.

The music replays each time you re-equip the set, but the voice line only ever triggers once. If you want to catch it, make sure your audio is up before you equip all the pieces for the first time.

Other things the Most Wanted merchant sells

The same merchant stocks more than the PlayStation sets. You can buy outfits modeled on each member of the Yotei Six, and there are three dyes for the Sakai armor, Storm’s Eye, Payment in Blood, and Clan’s Pride, at five Boss Tokens each.

The Death in Hiding dye for Sakai armor must be earned rather than purchased: defeat the Lord Saito bounty at Max Threat to receive it. Completing all six Max Threat bounties only earns a congratulatory message, with no extra prize for the full set.
