Adoption Island has turned haunted for the Halloween Event, which runs from October 3 to October 31, 2026. Temporary areas now cover the map, including a Manor on the hill, a Crypt below it, a Hotel near the Nursery, and a Carnival that is still being built. Four new pets are available in the first week, paid for with Candy Corn, Robux, or nothing at all.
Quick answer: Clear all four Crypt levels for the free Mummy Spider, place 8 Twigs in the Hotel nest for the Jacobin Pigeon (4,000 Candy Corn), save 40,000 Candy Corn for Jumpscare at the Manor, and buy the Jester Dragon at the Carnival for 1,000 Robux.

Every Halloween pet and how to claim it
Among this week’s four pets, three are available for Candy Corn or at no cost, while the other requires Robux. The Mummy Spider is the best place to start: it costs nothing, and taking it refreshes the Crypt so you can farm more copies.
| Pet | Rarity | Cost | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mummy Spider | Rare | Free | Bottom of the Crypt |
| Jacobin Pigeon | Common | 4,000 Candy Corn | Hotel nest |
| Jumpscare | Rare | 40,000 Candy Corn | Manor |
| Jester Dragon | Legendary | 1,000 Robux | Carnival |
Mummy Spider (free)
The Mummy Spider sits at the very bottom of the Crypt. Open graves on the first floor with your Crypt Keys until you find the one that reveals a ladder down, then repeat through all four levels. The spider rests in a silky nest on the final floor, and you claim it with no Candy Corn.
Once you adopt it, the Crypt caves in and resets, so you can run the levels again for more rewards. Four copies combine into a Neon, which makes this the most achievable free Neon of the event. Your daily key supply is the only limit.
Secure the graves you want on every floor first, since taking the spider clears the current layout.
Jacobin Pigeon (4,000 Candy Corn)
Some Crypt graves give you a Twig rather than Candy Corn. Once you have 8 Twigs, use the signs by the Nursery to reach the Hotel, then find the nest indoors. Put all 8 Twigs in it, wait for the Jacobin Pigeon to settle there, and adopt it for 4,000 Candy Corn.
Jumpscare (40,000 Candy Corn)
Jumpscare is the ghost that greets you at the Manor doors, and it is the priciest Candy Corn pet of week one. Grind the Ghost Gallery minigame and complete pet needs until you reach 40,000 Candy Corn, then adopt it inside the Manor.
Jester Dragon (1,000 Robux)
At the Carnival, look for the colorful circus tent close to the Nursery; the Legendary Jester Dragon circles alongside it. It costs 1,000 Robux, reduced from the 1,500 Robux the Cryptid cost last year. You can also win one free through the Ghost Gallery Coloring Giveaway on the official Adopt Me Discord, which runs until Thursday, October 8. Entries need at least three distinct colors, and you must be Level 5 in the server to post. AI-made pages are not eligible. The prize includes the Jester Dragon and FR Potions.

Add to Google Preferences →Ghost Gallery minigame: earning Candy Corn
The Ghost Gallery supplies most of this year’s Candy Corn. Nearly all event purchases use Candy Corn instead of regular Cash, making every round count. Climb the stairs to the Manor on the hill and enter the circle inside to join the queue; rounds follow a repeating 10-minute schedule. When the alert appears before a round, tap it to teleport straight in.
Each round lasts 150 seconds. For the first 75 seconds, the boss ghost hides inside a large painting and sends out smaller ghosts that slip into furniture across the two-floor room. Watch where they hide or let your equipped pet sniff them out, then click near a furniture item with your Ghost Blaster to break it open. Each piece can hold up to three ghosts, and draining their health bars earns points.
After 75 seconds the small ghosts vanish and the boss emerges. Its health bar has four sections, and each time you empty one it hides and spawns more small ghosts you must clear before it returns. The boss attacks with a wide radius that flings players and briefly stops them from firing, so step back just before it strikes while staying in range. Teamwork drains it faster.
Your score determines your payout, up to 5,000 Candy Corn per round, and defeating the boss also grants one Crypt Key. Exiting early forfeits both rewards, so stay until the boss is defeated. Each pet need you complete during the event pays 200 Candy Corn, so look after your pets between rounds.
For 50 Robux, a gamepass raises Candy Corn earnings by 25% throughout the event. A bonus pile of Candy Corn builds up beside the Nursery and is ready to collect at any time. Outside the Manor, the Stray Cat NPC trades 50 Candy Corn once per in-game day for an edible item in your inventory; it rejects potions and foods that cannot be eaten.

The Crypt: keys, twigs, and rewards
The Crypt sits near the Manor, below the hill, and holds four levels of locked graves. Each grave costs one Crypt Key to open and rewards either 1,000 to 2,000 Candy Corn or a Twig. One grave per level instead reveals a ladder down to the next floor. There is no pattern to the rewards, so results are random.
Your inventory labels them Crypt Keys, but the update notes call them Rusty Keys. They are the hardest resource to stock up on: daily tasks grant 4 Crypt Keys, and each Ghost Gallery boss defeat gives 1. Open the event icon in the top-left corner, then find daily tasks under the purple pumpkin tab on the Task Board. The assignments rotate and can include meeting pet needs, playing the minigame, or opening a grave.
Crypt Keys cannot be traded and disappear when the event ends, so spend them every day rather than hoarding them.

Halloween items and prices
Candy Corn also buys accessories, a vehicle, a glider, a stroller, and paint from shops around the island. A few items use Bucks instead. Here is everything from week one and where to find it.
| Item | Location | Price | Rarity |
|---|---|---|---|
| Spirit Goggles | Manor | 4,800 Candy Corn | Rare |
| Jumpscare Badge | Manor | 600 Candy Corn | Common |
| Black Water Boots | Manor | 2,100 Candy Corn | Uncommon |
| Ghost Blaster | Manor | 7,800 Candy Corn | Ultra Rare |
| Ghost Blaster Grappling Hook | Manor | 5,500 Candy Corn | Rare |
| Ghoul Mobile | Manor | 44,500 Candy Corn | Rare |
| Glimmery Ivory Paint | Crypt | 1,000 Bucks | Uncommon |
| Orbweaver Glider | Crypt | 59,000 Candy Corn | Ultra Rare |
| Prop Whip | Crypt | 1,950 Candy Corn | Uncommon |
| Nest Stroller | Hotel | 11,000 Candy Corn | Rare |
| Jack-o’-lantern | Home furniture | 40 Bucks | — |
| Cat-o’-lantern | Home furniture | 40 Bucks | — |
The Monster Mansion is still available for 13,000 Bucks. Its green glow and moving parts give it a distinct appearance, and it comes with three animated Halloween furniture pieces. Buying every week-one pet and item costs roughly 181,250 Candy Corn, so set your priorities early and leave the vehicle and glider for the final days.

Confirming you claimed a pet
Each pet lands in your inventory the moment you adopt it. The Mummy Spider confirms itself in an obvious way, since the Crypt collapses and resets as soon as you take it from the final nest. The Jacobin Pigeon appears only after all 8 Twigs are placed and the bird settles onto the Hotel nest, at which point the adopt prompt for 4,000 Candy Corn becomes available. Jumpscare and the Jester Dragon simply require standing at their pedestals with enough currency to confirm the purchase.
New content arrives in weekly drops through the end of October, with the Carnival still under construction for later additions. No official date or time for the next drop is confirmed yet, so watch the game’s in-game alerts for when it goes live.
