You pick a class when you create a character in Aion 2, and that choice is locked. There is no ticket, no respec NPC, and no hidden conversion menu waiting at level 10. Once you clear the naming screen, the class is set for that character’s whole life.
Quick answer: Aion 2 offers no way to switch classes, whether you play the global or Korean version. To use another class, start a fresh character; choosing your main’s server and faction lets your cosmetics and pets carry over.

No class change ticket or respec NPC exists
Aion 2 ships with eight classes on global launch: Gladiator, Templar, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer, Spiritmaster, Cleric, and Chanter. Your class determines your weapon and combat style, and nothing in the game lets you swap it later on the same character.
Some third-party guides claim an NPC lets you change classes for free at about level 10. No such feature exists: NC has released no class conversion in either region, so your starting class is permanent.
A class change ticket has been talked about. On a February 2026 livestream, the Korean development team said it had started work on one but would gather player feedback before deciding whether to release it. Opinions were split, and no ticket has launched since. When Korea added a ninth class, the Brawler, on July 1, 2026, players were handed a free character slot to try it rather than any way to convert an existing character. The Brawler is not part of the global roster.

Add to Google Preferences →Roll a new character to play another class
The only supported way to experience a different class is to create another character. You get multiple character slots, so you can keep your main and test other classes without wiping any progress.
Create the new character on the same server and faction as your main. That preserves account-level sharing and makes leveling an alt much easier. Elyos and Asmodian can each choose from all eight classes, so your faction choice does not rule out your preferred class.
Changing a character’s physical appearance through the look editor is cosmetic only. It does not touch your class.

What carries over to an alt
Aion 2 shares a lot at the server level, so an alt on your main’s server inherits your wardrobe and pets. An alt on a different server starts clean. Your gear, Stigmas, and the full climb to the level 45 cap never transfer between characters.
| Category | Same-server alt | Different-server alt |
|---|---|---|
| Closet skins / costumes | Shared | Not shared |
| Pets (ownership and levels) | Shared, levels aggregated | Not shared |
| Membership benefits | Apply on the purchased server | Not shared |
| Gear, Stigmas, level progress | Not transferred | Not transferred |
Owned skins in the Closet are available to every character on the same server; Special-grade costumes and pets were added to this sharing later. Pet ownership and Genus Insight are shared across the server, and pet levels are pooled among your characters. Membership benefits cover every character on the server where you bought the membership, but not characters on other servers.
Founder’s Pack item binding
Founder’s Pack contents follow three binding rules, which decide whether a new character can touch them:
- An item marked character-bound remains with the character that claimed it and cannot be shared.
- Class-bound items can be used only by other characters of the same class.
- Any server-bound item is shared with all characters on its server.
Unclaimed Founder’s items remain claimable on any server once Early Access is over. If you have not chosen your main yet, you can wait instead of assigning class-bound items to the wrong character.

Transfer items between characters on the same server
You can hand some items down to an alt as long as both characters sit on the same server and you use the NPC Storage Manager. This is the fastest way to give a new class a head start on gear and consumables.

Quai Membership lets you bypass the NPC and access storage anywhere by pressing the glowing button beneath your inventory.
Monolith progress also carries over to another character on the same server. Depositing Empyrean Traces (feathers) at the pillar topped with a glowing orb grants upgrade scrolls for your Amulet. Click Sync Empyrean Traces in the bottom-left corner to pool that progress and spare the alt a lot of grinding.
What you can and can’t move
Armor and weapons can be shared only when you obtained them yourself as random loot or dungeon drops and they are not Soul Bound. Quest-earned gear cannot be transferred. Unbound Kina can be sent freely between characters and spent on upgrades and purchases throughout the game.
Other items that transfer between characters include:
- Food and potions
- Power Shard
- Scrolls such as Benediction and Absorption
- Ores such as Odyle and Orichalcum
- Crafting materials such as Refining Stone
- Manastone and Soulstone
- Amplify Stone Fragment
Some things stay put. You cannot move any currency other than Unbound Kina, and Enhance Stones and Hidden Cube Keys are locked to the character that holds them.

Server transfers and faction changes
Moving servers is a separate system from class, and it does not touch your class at all. The global version will add a Server Transfer service starting October 14, and transfers are restricted to servers within the same faction.
In Korea the service has been sold in limited week-long windows rather than kept permanently open. Those windows carried the character, skills and Stigma, Arcana, wings, Daevanion, Kina in inventory and character storage, Quna, titles, the Closet, and pets. Items left in server storage stayed behind, and your name reset to a temporary one until you picked a new one on first login. Global pricing and limits have not been confirmed.
Elyos and Asmodians occupy separate servers, and transfers are restricted by faction, so an existing character cannot change sides. To play as the other faction, you must start a new character on one of its servers.
So if you have outgrown your class, the practical move is simple. Keep your main as a resource gatherer or legion alt if it is already near the level 45 cap, stop sinking Kinah and Odite into a low-level character you are unsure about, and build the class you actually want on a fresh slot on the same server and faction so your pets and wardrobe come along for the ride.
