Adopt Me introduced Jumpscare, a Rare pet available for a limited time, in the Halloween: Ghost Gallery update dated October 3, 2026. This little ghost floats inside a faint white aura, with a rounded shape, glowing light-blue coloring, oversized teal eyes, and pale yellow cheeks that look rosy. Once the Halloween event ends, trading will be the sole way to obtain it.

Quick answer: Buy the Jumpscare from the pedestal inside the Manor for 40,000 Candy Corn, or hatch it from a Basic, Crystal, or Admin Abuse egg.

Buy the Jumpscare at the Manor

The most direct route is the pedestal purchase inside the Manor, the large haunted house at the top of the hill in the Halloween area. The Jumpscare sits on display there, and paying 40,000 Candy Corn hands you one copy instantly. This is the method you can plan around, since it costs a fixed amount rather than relying on luck.

Hatch it from eggs

Three eggs can hatch into a Rare pet, and the Jumpscare is one of the Rare results. The odds listed below are the chance of pulling a Rare tier, not the Jumpscare specifically, so hatching is a gamble. The Basic and Crystal eggs come from the Tickets shop, while the Admin Abuse egg is tied to weekly events.

EggCostRare chance
Basic Egg400 Tickets4%
Crystal Egg4,000 Tickets50%
Admin Abuse EggFree (weekly events)35%

If hatching is your goal, the Crystal Egg gives the best Rare odds at a 50% chance. The Admin Abuse Egg is free but only comes from taking part in the weekly Admin Abuse events. You can also skip hatching entirely and pick one up through trading with another player.

Earning the 40,000 Candy Corn

Candy Corn is the event currency for the Halloween season, and you need a large stack of it for the pedestal purchase. Two activities build it up fastest.

Head to the Manor and queue for the Ghost Gallery minigame. You stand in the circle with other players, wait for the timer, then zap the ghosts roaming the two-floor room with your Ghost Blaster. Work with the lobby to drain the Ghost Boss’s health bar to finish the round.
Tap the icon at the screen’s left corner to open the event menu, then complete the daily Halloween quests in the pumpkin tab. The quests change each day and can involve caring for your pets’ needs or simply playing the minigame; completing them awards Candy Corn and Keys.
Repeat both until your Candy Corn total reaches 40,000, then return to the pedestal in the Manor to complete the purchase.

Neon and Mega Neon forms

Fusing multiple copies creates upgraded forms. Yellow light covers the Neon Jumpscare from head to toe, including its hands and feet. The Mega Neon lights up those same areas, but shifts through rainbow colors.

FormCopies neededCost if bought directly
Neon4 Jumpscares160,000 Candy Corn
Mega Neon16 Jumpscares640,000 Candy Corn

Buying all 16 copies for a Mega Neon runs to 640,000 Candy Corn, so mixing in egg hatches and trades is far cheaper than paying the pedestal price every time.

Confirming you got it

After a pedestal purchase or a successful hatch, the Jumpscare lands in your inventory as a Rare pet under the Halloween event category, and a new pet notification appears on screen. From there you can equip it, age it up for the tricks above, and start stacking copies toward the Neon forms. Keep in mind the Jumpscare Badge sold for 600 Candy Corn is a separate pet accessory, not the pet itself, so don’t confuse the two at the shops.
