Mummy Spider, a limited Rare pet, joined Adopt Me in the Halloween: Ghost Gallery update, which launched on October 3, 2026. It requires neither Robux nor Candy Corn; to get one, use Crypt Keys to descend to the bottom of the Crypt, a temporary zone on Adoption Island.
Quick answer: Collect Crypt Keys from Halloween daily tasks and the Ghost Gallery minigame, then open graves in the Crypt to find the ladder down on each of the four levels. Reach the bottom chamber and accept the prompt to claim the Mummy Spider.

What you need to claim the Mummy Spider
There is no egg and no luck involved. The only requirement is a supply of Crypt Keys and one full run through the Crypt in a single sitting. Keys are the resource that limits you, so secure them before you enter.
- Crypt Keys, earned from Halloween tasks and the Ghost Gallery minigame.
- An active pet equipped, so you can finish the pet-need tasks that pay out keys.
- Enough time to clear all four levels without leaving, since exiting resets your floor progress.
Crypt Keys are non-tradable, and finishing tasks won’t add keys to your inventory automatically. Press Claim to collect them, then open the Halloween category in your backpack to verify your total.

Two sources supply keys. The daily task board is the reliable one, and the Ghost Gallery minigame tops it up.
| Source | Keys | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Daily Halloween tasks | 4 | Finish pet-need tasks, then click Claim |
| Ghost Gallery minigame | 1 | Runs every 10 minutes; beat the boss |
Use the icon on the screen’s left side to open the Task Board, then select the pumpkin-marked Halloween tab. Completing each pet need also awards Candy Corn, giving the tasks a second benefit. Finish the Ghost Gallery before entering the Crypt to collect all five keys; that’s enough to descend all the way with one key left over.

Clearing the Crypt step by step
You’ll find the Crypt near the Nursery, at the bottom of the hill beneath the Manor. Every floor has four graves: three give Candy Corn or Twigs, while the fourth conceals the ladder to the next level down.

Collect any Candy Corn or Twigs you want to keep before accepting the pet. With eight Twigs, you can build a nest to unlock the Jacobin Pigeon.
How you know it worked
Accepting the altar prompt triggers a “New Pet Discovered!” banner and a Journal update, and the Mummy Spider appears in your inventory as a Newborn. The Crypt then caves in and resets back to the top level. You can run it again with a fresh batch of keys, and each full clear gives you one more Mummy Spider.

Tricks and the Neon and Mega Neon forms
The Mummy Spider learns six tricks as it ages: Sit at Newborn, Joyful at Junior, Beg at Pre-Teen, Jump at Teen, Trick 1 at Post-Teen, and Trick 2 at Full Grown.
Combine copies to unlock the glowing forms. You need four Mummy Spiders for a Neon, which shines orange across its bandages and abdominal hairs. The Mega Neon requires 16; those same parts then shift through rainbow colors.
The Halloween event ends on October 31, and the supply of this limited pet stops increasing; after that, trading is the only way to obtain one. To work toward a Neon or Mega Neon later, claim extra copies while you still have enough keys.
