Haldor is the dvergr trader who sets up camp in the Black Forest, and his shop is the only place to buy gear that no workbench recipe can make. His stock is not fixed. Six lines are on sale the moment you find him, and five more appear one at a time as specific bosses fall in your world. Knowing which kill unlocks which line tells you exactly when a trip back to his camp is worth the coins.
Quick answer: The store opens with six items. Defeating The Elder adds Ymir Flesh and Thunder Stone, Moder adds Wider Pockets, Yagluth adds the Egg, and The Queen adds Deeper Pockets.
Everything Haldor sells and what unlocks it
Prices are listed in Coins. Where a line sells in a bundle, the price covers the whole bundle. The unlocks follow the world, not your character, so a boss counts for everyone on a server once it has died in that world.
| Item | Coins | Per buy | Unlocks |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 1 | From the start | |
| 620 | 1 | From the start | |
| 950 | 1 | From the start | |
| 350 | 1 | From the start | |
| 10 | 20 | From the start | |
| 100 | 3 | From the start | |
| 120 | 1 | The Elder dead | |
| 50 | 1 | The Elder dead | |
| Wider Pockets | 1,000 | 1 | Moder dead |
| 1,500 | 1 | Yagluth dead | |
| Deeper Pockets | 2,000 | 1 | The Queen dead |
The six opening lines cover the gear you cannot craft. The Megingjord is a belt that gives superhuman strength and raises your carry weight. The Dverger Circlet is a head lamp that lights the ground in front of you for dungeon work. The Fishing Rod and its bait let you catch fish, and the bait only comes from Haldor. Barrel Hoops are the metal rings used to build a Barrel, sold three at a time. The Yule Hat is a red cosmetic cap that sits in the helmet slot.
Wider Pockets and Deeper Pockets are one-time unlocks, not objects. Each adds one row of inventory slots that stays on your character, which is why their tooltips carry no weight line.

Before you beat any boss, the list holds six lines. Each unlock adds its item to the same panel, so the shop simply gets longer as you clear bosses.
- The Elder: adds Ymir Flesh and Thunder Stone, taking the list to eight lines. Ymir Flesh feeds the Frostner and Iron Sledge recipes; Thunder Stone is needed to build the Obliterator.
- Moder: adds Wider Pockets. This is the Mountain boss, so Wider Pockets is not on sale on a first visit.
- Yagluth: adds the Egg for 1,500 Coins. The Egg is your only route to the first chicken, and it hatches when kept warm.
- The Queen: adds Deeper Pockets, bringing the list to eleven lines.
- Bonemass: adds nothing at Haldor.
With The Elder, Moder and Yagluth all down, the panel shows ten lines: Yule Hat, Dverger Circlet, Megingjord, Ymir Flesh, Fishing Rod, Fishing Bait x20, Thunder Stone, Egg, Barrel Hoops x3 and Wider Pockets. Beating The Queen on top of that adds the eleventh line.
Find Haldor and open the store
Haldor only camps in the Black Forest, away from the biome edge. A world reserves up to ten possible sites, each at least 512m apart, and the first one you walk up to is the one that stays. Nothing can be built within 12m of the camp, and the campfire gives the Fire status, so it is a warm, safe spot once you arrive.

What a full shopping trip costs
Both inventory unlocks together run 3,000 Coins for two extra rows. Pairing the Megingjord with both pockets costs 3,950 Coins. Buying one of every line, pockets included, comes to 6,800 Coins.
Fuling Berserkers in the Plains are the main source of Coins, yielding 5 to 20 apiece; treasure chests and drops from other enemies provide more. At his camp, Haldor pays a fixed price for valuables, so you can exchange Amber, Amber Pearls, Rubies and Silver Necklaces for Coins. Your inventory starts with four rows, and each pocket you unlock adds one.
