Introduced in the Frozen Trail 2.0 update on October 8, 2026, the Bantam is a compact revolver with a cut-down barrel. It is an Uncommon Hand Cannon that uses Heavy Ammo, replacing the Anvil in that slot after the Anvil moved to Rare. Get one by purchasing it, finding it as loot, or crafting it after acquiring its blueprint.

Quick answer: Buy Bantam I from the trader Tian Wen for 11,400 coins, or find the weapon or its blueprint in any loot container, or claim the base Bantam I at tier 4 of the Frozen Trail Reward Pass.

What the Bantam is

This revolver has a stubby barrel and a rate of fire that varies. It is easy to handle and deals heavy damage, though accuracy and control are poor and its effective range is limited. Heavy rounds penetrate ARC machine armor well, and hip-fire lets you fight at close quarters when there is no time to aim down sights.

Three ways to get the Bantam

Buy Bantam I from Tian Wen

The fastest route is to purchase it. The trader Tian Wen stocks Bantam I for 11,400 coins, and she currently carries three revolvers in her inventory. This skips the randomness of looting entirely and puts the base weapon in your stash immediately.

Loot it Topside

Because the Bantam is Uncommon, the weapon and its blueprint can drop from any loot container in a raid. That includes standard lockers, boxes, weapon cases, and other containers scattered across every map. There is no single guaranteed spawn, so this comes down to how many containers you open.

Claim it from the Frozen Trail Reward Pass

The base Bantam I is a reward on the Frozen Trail Reward Pass. Reaching tier 4 unlocks it directly, so progressing the pass is another way to secure the weapon without relying on loot drops.

Farming the Bantam Blueprint

With the Bantam Blueprint, you learn the recipe and can craft the weapon whenever you want. Look for blueprints in general containers, weapon cases, and locked rooms; specific enemies do not drop them. Weapon Cases and Raider Caches offer the best odds, at about three times the rate of ordinary lockers.

Map conditions change your odds. Running raids during Night Raids, Redirection, and Hurricane conditions boosts the chance of the weapon and its blueprint showing up. If you want to concentrate your search, these spots across the maps are worth prioritizing:

MapLoot spots
Dam BattlegroundsHydroponic Dome Complex, Control Tower
Buried CityHospital, Space Travel, Town Hall
SpaceportArrival Building, Departure Building
Blue GateGate Approach, Pilgrim’s Peak
Stella MontisMedical Research, Cultural Archives
Riven TidesHotel Panorama Azzurro, Port Authority Building, Azzurro Beach
Pendola PassAlmatera Station, Cielo Sereno Observatory, Commissary Supermarket

Pendola Pass uses dynamic loot zones, so its best spots rotate every match. Treat the Pendola Pass locations above as a starting point rather than fixed guarantees.

How to confirm you have it

A Bantam bought from Tian Wen or claimed through the Reward Pass goes straight into your stash. A looted weapon or blueprint is yours to keep only if you extract successfully. A raid death while carrying a blueprint forfeits it permanently, with no way to recover it.

Once you extract with the Bantam Blueprint, the recipe unlocks permanently on your account, and you can craft the revolver whenever you have the materials. It is a solid budget sidearm for taking on ARC and hostile Raiders, though its short range and loose control mean it will not displace the Anvil as a top-tier hand cannon.
