What Update 2 adds to Firefighting Sim

Three sets of features are confirmed on the official event page. Each one changes how you spend time between calls in Oak Ridge.

EMS calls and hospital emergencies

The EMS system lets firefighters take on emergency calls beyond fires. It adds hospital-related emergencies, which you assign yourself to before responding.

Car accident calls

Car accident calls join the dispatch list as a separate emergency type. These give you another scenario to work through alongside standard firefighting and the new EMS responses.

Custom servers and owner controls

Custom servers give owners extensive control. Across the server, you can set vehicle skins, lettering, lights, and sirens, then rename the town and individual stations.

Owners also set the gameplay conditions and handle moderation across their server:

  • Control the time of day and weather
  • Adjust the call rate and fire difficulty
  • Set the number of victims per call
  • Kick and ban users
  • Add co-hosts to help run the server

Launch Firefighting Sim at or after the release time for your region. You will know the update has landed once EMS and car accident calls appear in your dispatch options and the custom server controls are available. If you load in before 7:00 PM UTC, you will still be on the current version.
