Daevanion Crystals are the resource you spend to light up nodes on the Daevanion Board, and every one you use raises your Gear Score. Most players pick up a steady supply while leveling, then stop there. Two vendors hold a large block of crystals that many accounts never touch.

Quick answer: Buy all 50 Daevanion Crystals from the Shugo Festival Shop and all 50 from the Nightmare Trade Shop under the Growth tab. That is 100 crystals, equal to +100 Gear Score, on top of what regional quests and sealed dungeons give you.

What one Daevanion Crystal does

Using a Daevanion Crystal grants 1 Daevanion Point. You spend points to activate board nodes, and each point you commit lifts your character’s Gear Score by 1. Because the gain is flat and permanent, every unused crystal sitting in a shop is Gear Score you have not claimed yet.

Crystals are bound to the character that earns or buys them, so you cannot move them to an alt. Plan your purchases on the character you actually play.

Crystals from regional quests and sealed dungeons

Open the Journal with J and check the Regional tab. Completing a regional quest rewards Daevanion Crystals along with a Wisdom Stone, and multi-part quest chains pay out two crystals instead of one. Sealed dungeons hand over two crystals per clear. Clearing both as you level is the bulk of your early supply.

Two Elyos-side examples show the pattern. Spacetime Rift: Perfect Tool, given by Mino at Beast Hunter Campsite near Western Altamia Highland, asks you to collect ten Escaped Mumu Worker’s Scythes and rewards a Daevanion Crystal (Bound), a Wisdom Stone (Bound), 57,000 Kina and 2,000 Abyss Points. The earlier Spacetime Rift quest, for both factions, rewards a Daevanion Crystal (Bound), a Wisdom Stone (Bound), 21,000 Kina and 2,000 Abyss Points for activating the rift and defeating seven Withered Armadon.

A handful of regional quests do not grant crystals, but those are the exception. Do the ones you come across while leveling and the points add up on their own.

Shugo Festival Shop: 50 crystals in tiered steps

The Festival Shop sells up to 50 Daevanion Crystals as a set of linked purchase steps. The price climbs as you buy through each tier, so later crystals cost more festival currency than the first ones.

Open the Shugo Festival menu and go to the Festival Shop. Find the Daevanion Crystal (Bound) entry in the list.

Buy through the linked tiers. The first 10 crystals cost 100 festival currency each, the next 10 cost 200 each, and the following 15 cost 400 each, continuing until you reach 50 total.
Earn festival currency by playing the event mini-games and clearing the yellow-icon world incursion events out in the open world. Both feed the same currency pool you spend in the shop.

Mini-game attempts run on Shugo Festival Reward Keys. You gain 3 keys per day, the count resets at 16:00 server time, and you can hold up to 12 at once, or 21 with membership. Spend them before they cap so you do not lose free attempts.

This is a one-time block of 50 crystals, not a repeatable farm. Once you have bought them all, the shop will not refill.

Nightmare Trade Shop: 50 crystals for Phantasmal Fragments

The second block of 50 crystals sits in the Nightmare Trade Shop under the Growth tab, priced at 100 Phantasmal Fragments each. You earn the fragments from Nightmare boss clears.

Open the Nightmare menu and run the boss stages. First-time clears pay out large amounts of Phantasmal Fragments. Attempt tickets give you extra runs beyond your standard allowance.

Go to the Trade Shop and open the Growth tab. Find the Daevanion Crystal (Bound) entry, which stocks 50 units.
Buy out all 50 at 100 Phantasmal Fragments apiece. When the stock hits 50/50 purchased, the entry shows Sold Out and you have claimed the full block.

The Nightmare bosses that feed fragments include Gatekeeper Pinopi in the Root Cellar, Furious Feruk in Dramata’s Underkeep, Fortress Guardian Notun, Zikel’s Apparition, Mutated Gerod, Fafnir’s Poison Blood and Wraith Giselle. Gatekeeper Pinopi’s challenge runs 10 stages, with recommended combat power climbing from 1,000 at the first stage to 1,600 at the last.

Daevanion Crystal types and where each one comes from

Beyond the standard crystal, several board-specific crystals exist, each granting a point to its own board. They are all Special grade, require level 45, stack to 1,000 and cannot be traded. Their sources and costs differ.

The Azphel crystal uses Abyss Points rather than the PvE currencies above, since it feeds the PvP board. Spending standard crystals does not advance Azphel, so treat it as a separate pool.

Confirming the Gear Score gain

After using crystals to unlock board nodes, your Gear Score moves up by the number of points you spent. Buying out both shops gives 100 crystals, and spending all 100 is a direct +100 Gear Score. In each shop, the Daevanion Crystal entry showing its full count as purchased, with the Nightmare entry reading Sold Out, confirms you have taken everything on offer. Both vendor blocks are one-time, so once they are empty, regional quests and sealed dungeons remain your ongoing source.
