Beyond Nen, the Hunter x Hunter-inspired MMORPG on Roblox, has pulled its public build offline. The Wave 1 early access closed on October 7, 2026, and the full release has been pushed back while the development team rebuilds large parts of the game. Anyone opening the Roblox page now is met with a “currently not available” message rather than a playable server.

Quick answer: Beyond Nen’s early access closed on October 7, 2026, and launch is paused for a major overhaul. No new release date is confirmed; an unofficial community projection puts the relaunch roughly five to six months out.

Current release status

The project sits in a paused pre-release state. Early access was shut down ahead of schedule, and the team has said the stoppage is to implement changes, rework core systems, and respond to community feedback. There is no officially confirmed launch date or window at this point.

The five-to-six-month figure is a community estimate, not a commitment from the developers. Treat it as a rough expectation rather than a scheduled return.

Why Beyond Nen was delayed

The closure followed heavy criticism of the early access build. The loudest complaints centered on monetization, a repetitive gameplay loop, and a lack of meaningful endgame content. Rather than patch around those issues live, the team took the game down to overhaul it more extensively.

The planned rework is broad rather than cosmetic. It covers core mechanics, the storyline, the user interface, and the structure of the Hunter Exam. Balance adjustments are part of the same pass, which is why the full release is being held back rather than nudged by a short patch.

The progression problem the rework targets

The biggest structural flaw sat at the center of the loop. Earning a Hunter’s License, the game’s main milestone, only unlocked Nen. It did not open new zones, high-level questlines, or any gameplay that separated licensed players from unlicensed ones. After beating early bandits, there was little reason to keep climbing.

That matters because the license is the payoff the entire Hunter Exam builds toward. Without zones, quests, or systems gated behind it, the reward felt hollow, and the loop looped back on itself. Reworking progression so the license actually changes what you can do is central to the delay.

What the early access build included

Wave 1 already carried the game’s intended core loop. The Hunter Exam ran across four stages, mixing endurance, puzzle, and combat challenges. The tag-collection third stage and the tournament PvP fourth stage were the most engaging parts of that sequence, while the earlier stages drew more criticism.

  • Four-phase Hunter Exam with completion gates
  • A Nen system advertised with 15+ ability directions
  • Open-world PvE encounters and boss fights
  • Team-based and duel PvP combat
  • Crafting drops, milestones, and a skill tree

PvP featured team matches between Azure and Crimson, with scored games and post-match rewards that included kill EXP and progression points. Arena combat used a stark monochrome look, with warnings and ground-slam effects appearing over the action.

On the PvE side, bosses included the giant Fox Bear, which dropped items such as a Pitchfork Recipe, Ruby, and Kara. The interface carried tabs for Inventory, Transportation, Milestones, Products, Skill Tree, and Settings, along with prompts for unspent skill points and unclaimed milestones. Mounts and open-world ambush events, such as angry farmers blocking a path, were also present.

Where official updates will appear

Because there is no fixed update schedule, announcements are the only reliable signal for when Beyond Nen returns. The development team, led by Decay, shares news through the Roblox game page and community group, the official Beyond Nen Discord, the official X account, and the DecxyRbx YouTube channel.

You will know the relaunch has happened when the Roblox page loads into a live server again instead of the “not available” screen, and when a new build or wave is announced on those channels. Until then, the project stays paused with no confirmed date, and any specific launch time circulating without an official post should be treated as unverified.
