A Path Not Yours is one of the quests that arrived with the Frozen Trail update in ARC Raiders, and despite its connection to the new content, it does not send you to Pendola Pass. The whole thing plays out on The Blue Gate, tucked into the southern edge of the map, and it asks you to track down an old Nomad route and carry a quest item back out alive.

Quick answer: Deploy at The Blue Gate, examine the glowing trail marker at Highway Collapse, travel west until you reach the broken bridge, unearth Bilguun’s cache to get the Broken Compass, put it in your Safe Pocket, then extract.

What to bring before deploying to The Blue Gate

The quest hands you two Ziplines when you accept it from the Nomadic Envoy. You do not need them for the main objectives, but one is useful if you plan to reach Bilguun’s optional stash. A Zipline is a Rare quick-use gadget with a 60m range, and Apollo also sells it for 3,000 Coins if you want spares.

A Safe Pocket is essential for bringing the quest item home intact. Equip an augment that has one, and the Broken Compass will be protected if you die before extraction.

  • An augment with a Safe Pocket for the Broken Compass.
  • A weapon you trust, since The Blue Gate sits at difficulty 4 of 5.
  • Spare ammo and healing items.
  • One Zipline only if you want the optional secret stash.

Walkthrough: Highway Collapse to Bilguun’s cache

Every objective sits close together in the southern part of the map, so a single raid is enough to finish it.

Start a raid on The Blue Gate and travel to the Highway Collapse point of interest in the south, where the elevated road has snapped into sections. Open your map and aim for the label itself.
Near the letter “o” in “Collapse,” look for a rock with a yellow interaction highlight under the broken overpass. Hold the inspect prompt to mark the start of the Nomad trail. The animation runs several seconds and leaves you exposed, so clear nearby ARC machines or Raiders first. A Smoke Grenade can hide you while it plays.
Head west toward the end of the broken bridge. You do not have to chase every trail marker along the way. Reaching the western section where the road cuts off advances the quest and points you to Bilguun’s cache.
Move a few steps southwest and check the ground behind one of the highway support pillars. Interact with the dig-up prompt to uncover Bilguun’s gift, then pick up the Broken Compass that drops out.
Place the Broken Compass in your Safe Pocket immediately. With the item secured, you can head straight to extraction. The Forest Airshaft is a close option if it is available on your run.

The buried cache is all you need for the mandatory objectives. Skip the climb above if you only want the compass.

Optional: Bilguun’s secret stash

Looting the secret stash is optional and does not count toward finishing the quest. From the buried cache, look up at the broken bridge to spot a small opening inside the damaged structure. That gap is Bilguun’s hideout.

Use one of the Ziplines the Nomadic Envoy gave you to reach the opening, then go inside and interact with the Secret Stash. Doing so sets off what looks like a delayed mine, but it only triggers firecrackers rather than a damaging blast, so there is no need to run. Grab the loot and make for an exit.

Rewards for A Path Not Yours

Extract with the Broken Compass, return to Speranza, and deliver the item to the Nomadic Envoy to close out the quest. You receive the following:

RewardQuantity
Tellurion1
Magnet2
Battery2
Power Cable2
XP2,500

The Tellurion is a trinket you can sell to pad your stash, while the Magnets, Batteries, and Power Cables are worth holding onto for crafting. The quest is marked complete once you hand the compass over and claim the reward, and no further missions branch off from it.
