Ruins and Reverberations is a Frozen Trail quest handed out by Celeste that sends you to the Cielo Sereno Observatory on the Pendola Pass map. The task reads like a single-location job, but the observatory sits in open, high-threat terrain, and the whole sequence has to be finished inside one raid.

Quick answer: Carry a Spotter Relay and a climbing tool to Pendola Pass, attach the relay to the antenna on the observatory roof, drop into the crawlspace and weld the wires, then return to the antenna and activate it.

What to bring before you load in

Two items decide whether this quest works. You need a Spotter Relay in your stash, and you need a way to reach a rooftop. Celeste gives you a Grappling Hook when you accept the quest, so the climbing requirement is covered even if you own nothing else. A Snap Hook or a Zipline does the same job.

The Spotter Relay is the one you have to prepare for. It drops from Spotters, the small flying units that tag you with a laser so Bombardiers can shell your position. Spotters have low health across the board, so a few hits bring one down, after which you loot the relay from the wreck.

Spotters do not fly on Pendola Pass, so you cannot grab the relay on the same run that finishes the quest. Pick one up on another map first, extract with it, then load into Pendola Pass. Spotters travel with Bombardiers, so look where those heavy units patrol.

Finding Cielo Sereno Observatory on Pendola Pass

The Cielo Sereno Observatory sits in the northeastern section of Pendola Pass. The approach is wide and exposed, and the Dynamic Loot Zone system can flip the area to a red threat level, which means a Bombardier may already be circling when you arrive. Move between cover and watch the sky as you close in.

Completing Ruins and Reverberations

Reach the observatory and wrap around to the eastern side of the building. A fixed yellow ladder runs up the exterior wall. Climb it to the roof. You can also take the grappling or snap hook straight up if you prefer, but the ladder needs no gear at all.
Cross the snowy roof to the western side and find the antenna mast near the edge. Interact with it and choose the option to attach the ARC part. This installs the Spotter Relay and clears the first objective, which also reveals the next task.
Turn away from the antenna and look for the hole in the roof right beside it. Drop through. You land next to a second gap in the floor. Drop through that one as well to reach the crawlspace beneath the control room.
Ignore the open shutter on your right. Take an immediate left, then a second left, and you reach a wall-mounted panel that is highlighted. Interact with it to weld the wires and redirect power.
Climb back up to the roof the way you came, using the hook if needed, and interact with the antenna one more time. Activating the Spotter Relay finishes the quest. Activation sends out a loud pulse that can draw nearby ARC, so be ready to move toward extraction straight after.

How to confirm the quest is done

All three objectives tick off on the quest tracker once you activate the antenna, and a “Ruins and Reverberations Complete” splash appears. The quest must be finished in a single raid, so if you are knocked or forced to extract midway, you restart from the beginning. After a clean run, return to Speranza and talk to Celeste to claim the rewards.

For the most storage, use the Looting Mk. 3 (Safekeeper) augment. It has 18 backpack slots, 4 quick use slots, 2 weapon slots, 2 trinket slots and 1 safe pocket slot, plus a 65 carry weight limit, and works with Light, Medium or Heavy shields. You give up weight and utility in exchange for more space for loot, making it suitable for lengthy scavenging runs after you repair the antenna behind you.
