Stronger units in Cameraman Tower Defense come from one loop: build up coins, spend them at the lobby summon banner, then upgrade a few good pulls to their maximum level during a match. The game hands you a short starting roster of basic Cameraman and Speakerman towers, and everything better than that is bought with coins or pulled from crates.
Quick answer: Grab the one-time 200-coin group bonus, farm coin wins in Toilet City, and redeem codes, then spend those coins at the lobby summon banner. One max-level carry beats a field of base-level units.
Earn coins, the summon currency
Summons are paid for in coins, not Robux, so coins are the path to a better roster for every player. There are three reliable ways to stock up.
Claim the 200-coin group reward
Join the Aligators Games community on Roblox, give the game a like, and favorite it. Launching back into the lobby then drops an instant 200 coins into your account. This is a one-time bonus, and it is the fastest early boost toward your first real summon. You can join the studio group from the Aligators Games community page.
Win Toilet City matches
Each difficulty pays a fixed coin reward on a win, scaling with wave count. Higher difficulties recommend higher rarities, so you often need a few summons before you can safely clear Hard or Insane.
| Difficulty | Waves | Win reward | Recommended |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 20 | 100 coins | Basic+ |
| Normal | 30 | 200 coins | Uncommon+ |
| Hard | 35 | 300 coins | Rare+ |
| Insane | 50 | 600 coins | Legendary+ |
Redeem codes for free coins
Codes grant extra coins, but the redeem box only unlocks after you have won at least three matches. Open the Shop from the left of the lobby, scroll to the bottom text field, type a code exactly as written, and hit Redeem. Codes are case-sensitive and expire without warning.

Add to Google Preferences →Summon at the lobby banner
Walk onto the glowing summon ring in the lobby to open the summon interface. The Basic Crate costs 100 coins for one pull or 900 coins for ten, and the banner resets its pool on a roughly ten-minute timer. Most of what you roll is filler, with the valuable units sitting at the bottom of the odds.
| Pull | Odds |
|---|---|
| Cameraman | 49.9% |
| Car Speakerman | 30% |
| Popcorn Cameraman | 15% |
| Large Speakerman | 4% |
| Laser Cameraman Car | 1% |
| Upgrade to Cameraman Helicopter | 0.1% |

The banner’s lineup changes with each rotation, so its available units may vary from session to session. The coin banner also offers a chance at Titan-grade units, including Titan Cameraman (1%) and Titan Cinemaman (0.1%); these are the main long-term goals for spending coins.
Save for the ten-pull. At 900 coins for ten it is cheaper per roll than ten single pulls at 100 each.
Upgrade one carry to max, not many to base
Pulling a rare unit is only half the work. Units scale hard between their base and fully upgraded stats, and upgrades cost less than placing extra towers. A single upgraded unit out-damages a crowded board of base-level ones.
The jump is steep even on starters. A base Cameraman does 25 damage with a 3-second cooldown for 8.3 DPS, and at max it reaches 100 damage, a 1-second cooldown, and 100 DPS. The Upgraded Titan Speakerman shows the same pattern at the top end, climbing from 250 damage to 2,500 and from 250 DPS to 5,000 while its range doubles from 12 to 25.
You can field up to 15 towers per player, but some units are capped lower, including the Jetpack Cameraman and Engineer Cameraman at three each. Spend your in-match cash feeding one or two carries toward max level before spreading placements thin.
Best units to chase and where they come from
Top-end damage lives in a handful of units pulled from the coin banner, the gem Spider Crate, match-reward Woman Crate, Scientist Crates, and a paid pack. These are the pulls worth building a team around.
| Unit | Max DPS | Source |
|---|---|---|
| TV Spider | 10,000 (AoE) | Spider Crate (gems), 0.2% |
| Upgraded Brute Prototype | 9,000 (AoE) | Coin summon |
| Upgraded Videotaper Prototype | 7,500 | Coin summon |
| Titan Cinemaman | 7,000 (AoE) | Basic Crate |
| Glitch Cameraman | 6,000 | Coin summon |
| Jetpack Cameraman | 5,000 | Jetpack Pack (paid) |
| Titan Cameraman | 3,000 | 1% banner pull |
Upgraded Brute Prototype is the wave-clearer thanks to its area damage, while the Upgraded Videotaper Prototype punches hardest into bosses with its fast emerald laser. Glitch Cameraman is the cheapest of the prototype trio and still reaches 6,000 single-target DPS on a 0.2-second cooldown, which makes it the easiest high-end carry to afford.
Titan Cameraman is the budget Insane-mode staple and the de facto trading currency, since lobby offers are often priced in Titans. TV Spider is the single highest damage number in the game at 10,000 AoE DPS, but it only comes from the gem-based Spider Crate at a 0.2% rate.
Economy and spawner units
Engineer Cameraman deals 0 DPS until its maximum level, where its spawned helpers pour out 3,000 DPS and its anti-parasite vehicles carry roughly 100,000 HP. It is a super-rare drop from Scientist Crates, which you can buy from the shop for around 49 to 50 Robux or earn as a 20% drop from clearing Insane difficulty. The Scientist Cameraman is the economy opener, generating up to 500 cash per wave at max level with a four-unit limit.

A workable late-game plan is one carry (a Brute, Videotaper, or Spider), one economy unit (Scientist), and one area body (Speaker Woman or TV Spider), with the rest of your match cash funneled into upgrading that carry.
Confirm your new units landed
Open the Units menu from the left side of the lobby HUD, or check the Index, to confirm a summon or code reward registered. New pulls appear in your inventory immediately, and redeemed codes add their coins to your balance the moment the Shop confirms them. Tapping any unit opens its full card with base and fully upgraded stats, which is how you decide what to level during your next match.
