Petting the Hatchinator in Aniimo is a small, free way to speed up the egg sitting inside it. Every pet knocks real time off the incubation countdown, and because friends can pet your eggs too, a long timer can be shaved down faster than waiting it out alone.
Quick answer: Petting the Homeland Hatchinator while an egg is incubating removes 10 minutes from its timer. You get one pet per day, and a visiting friend can add a second.

How much time each pet saves
One pet on a Hatchinator that currently holds an incubating egg cuts 10 minutes off that egg’s remaining hatch time. The reduction is flat, so it works the same whether the egg has hours left or just a few minutes.
As an example, an egg showing a 30-minute countdown drops to 20 minutes after a single pet. This is a one-time trim, not extra incubation added on top, so the slot keeps counting down from the lower number.
The number of pets any one egg can receive is capped. You can pet your own egg once per day, and up to two pets total can land on the same egg across everyone, which is where friends come in. A separate hatch speed-up item can also be applied on top of those pets.

Visiting another player’s Homeland lets you pet their Hatchinator the same way you pet your own, speeding up their incubating egg. That second pet from a friend is exactly what pushes an egg toward its two-pet daily cap.
The arrangement runs both ways. Friends who drop into your Homeland can pet your Hatchinator and take another 10 minutes off whatever you have incubating, so coordinating visits is the practical way to use the full daily allowance.

Petting a ready egg to reveal its stats
Petting changes meaning once the countdown hits zero and the slot shows a ready egg. At that point, petting no longer touches a timer. Instead it starts the reveal, slowly surfacing the hatching Aniimo’s details before it fully appears.
The staged reveal uncovers these properties one at a time:
- Combat Role
- Stage
- Element
- Innate Potential rarity
If you don’t care for the slow build-up, you can skip the petting process entirely to hatch the Aniimo instantly and see all of its stats at once.

Why you can’t pet an Outpost Hatchinator
Petting to reduce hatch time only works on the Hatchinator in a Homeland. The Hatchinator at an Outpost does not accept pets, so an egg incubating there runs its full base timer with no quick way to cut it down.
The only shortcut for an Outpost egg is the Monthly Pass, which reduces hatch time by 2 hours. Without it, you wait out the listed duration. If you want to pet your way to a faster hatch, move the egg into your Homeland Hatchinator instead. You can place one from the build menu for 320 Home Coin.
You’ll know the pet worked the moment the countdown redraws with 10 fewer minutes, and you’ll know a ready egg is responding when each pet peels back another piece of its stat card on the way to the final Claim.
