AION 2: Intermediate Abyssal Manastone Effects and How to Get

The Rare Manastone rolls one of 16 stats onto weapons and armor, and comes from Alchemy crafting or an achievement reward.

The Intermediate Abyssal Manastone is a Rare-grade stone in AION 2 that you engrave into the Manastone slots on weapons and armor. Each stone fills one slot with a single random stat, and the stone you use decides which stat pool you draw from and how high the value can go. The Abyssal version leans toward PvP, which is the main reason to pick it over a plain Intermediate Manastone.

Quick answer: Craft it at an Alchemy Table with Alchemy mastery 85, or claim the Bound version as an achievement reward. Engrave it into a weapon or armor slot to roll one of 16 stats.

Intermediate Abyssal Manastone stats and roll chances

When you engrave the stone, the game first picks one of 16 stats, then picks a value tier for it. The value tier lands on Common 50%, Rare 35%, or Epic 15%. Block, HP, and MP sit at the top of the stat list, so defensive and survivability rolls show up more often than the rest.

StatChanceValue (Common / Rare / Epic)
Block10%9 / 13 / 18
HP9.5%45 / 80 / 130
MP9.5%23 / 40 / 65
Attack6%2 / 4 / 8
Defense6%20 / 40 / 75
Accuracy Bonus6%6 / 9 / 13
Evasion Bonus6%6 / 9 / 13
Critical Hit6%6 / 9 / 13
Critical Hit Resist6%6 / 9 / 13
PvP Attack5%4 / 8 / 16
PvP Defense5%40 / 80 / 150
PvP Accuracy5%12 / 18 / 26
PvP Evasion5%12 / 18 / 26
PvP Critical Hit5%12 / 18 / 26
PvP Block5%12 / 18 / 26
PvP Critical Hit Resist5%12 / 18 / 26

The seven PvP stats together take up 35% of every roll. That is the difference from a regular Intermediate Manastone, where those slots go to the core stats instead. A plain stone rolls Attack, Defense, Critical Hit and the other core stats at 10% each; the Abyssal stone drops each of those to 6% and spends the freed weight on PvP lines.

For pure PvE gear, a regular Intermediate Manastone gives better odds on Attack, Critical Hit, and Defense with identical values. Save Abyssal stones for a dedicated PvP set where PvP Attack and PvP Defense rolls carry weight.

How to get the Intermediate Abyssal Manastone

There are two paths. Crafting produces the tradable version, while an achievement grants a Bound copy that cannot be traded. Both carry a required level of 1 and the same stat pool.

Craft it with Alchemy

The recipe needs Alchemy mastery 85 and is worked at an Alchemy Table. Elyos use the tables at Dawn Legion Base and Zumion Village in Verteron; Asmodians use Safe Haven and Nornir Assembly in Altgard. Each craft consumes the following and produces one stone.

  • 5× Lesser Abyssal Manastone
  • 5× Spiritstone Powder
  • 3× Professional Ink (Bound)

There is a 20% chance the craft triggers a Combo and returns a Superior Abyssal Manastone instead of the Intermediate one. That outcome replaces the normal result, so treat it as a bonus rather than a failure.

Claim it from an achievement

The Bound version drops into your inventory as an achievement reward. It carries the same stats and the same engraving use, but it stays locked to your account and cannot be sold or traded.

How to engrave it into gear

To engrave, open the Enhancement window and go to the Manastone tab. Rather than inserting a stone manually like a gem, register it, pay the Kina fee, and the game rolls all open slots together.

Open the Enhancement window, select the weapon or armor piece, and register an Intermediate Abyssal Manastone. The window shows the acquisition-probability table before you commit.
Pay the Kina fee and the stones to engrave. A fresh piece fills every slot in one pass. The slot count and fee depend on the gear grade, not on the stone.
Gear gradeSlotsKina per engrave
Common1500
Rare21,000
Epic31,500
Unique42,000
To reroll, uncheck the slots you want to keep so only the checked ones change. Rerolling overwrites whatever stat was already there, so there is no way to undo a result you preferred.

The item tooltip confirms success by displaying the slot’s new stat and value. Amulets, belts, and the rune lack Manastone slots, so they have no engrave option. Weapons, guards, and armor accept Manastones; accessories take Soulstones through a separate tab.
