The Path to Doomsday: Avengers Infinity War mode drops six duos into 2v2 fights across Wakanda, and the thing that decides most rounds is which Infinity Stone you are holding. Every duo starts with one of the six Stones, and each Stone carries two tiers of power that come online at fixed points in the match.
Quick answer: Each of the six Stones (Power, Time, Space, Mind, Soul, Reality) gains its basic effect in round four, followed by a more powerful enhanced effect in round seven. On PC, use Z to switch among the Stones you hold, then press G to activate the one equipped.

All six Infinity Stone effects in the Infinity War mode
Each Stone does one thing at its base level and a reinforced version of that same thing once it is enhanced. The table below lays out both tiers for every Stone.
| Stone | Base effect | Enhanced effect |
|---|---|---|
| Power | An uninterrupted beam deals damage calculated as a share of the target’s maximum health. | Same beam, and sustained hits control the target. |
| Time | Set only your own state and position back to where they were 5 seconds earlier. | Rewind the whole battlefield 5 seconds, including both duos, and revive fallen heroes if timed right. |
| Space | Teleport a short distance in a direction, gaining a damage boost and bonus health. Castable multiple times. | Same teleport, plus the option to target an enemy and warp behind them. |
| Mind | A psychic beam takes hold of an enemy after repeated hits, letting you trigger the base effect tied to their Stone. | Same beam; control lets you use the enhanced effect of their Stone. |
| Soul | Spend half your max health to fully heal your partner, always leaving you at least 1 health. | Spend your health to fully heal and shield your partner, transfer your bonus attributes, and enter Soul State. |
| Reality | Mark an area; after a delay, enemy attacks inside it turn into bubbles. | Mark an area; after a delay, enemies inside it are transformed. |

Stones stay dormant through the opening rounds. Base effects switch on in round four, marked by the in-game banner “The Infinity Stones are awakened!” The stronger enhanced versions become usable in round seven, when the game announces “The Infinity Stones are fully awakened!”
That timing means rounds one through three are pure hero fights with no Stone abilities at all. Any health your duo loses early carries into the later rounds where Stones start swinging fights, so the Stone you hold matters most from round four onward.

Rules that sit outside the table
A few Stones behave in ways the short effect text does not spell out, and these details change how and when you should fire them.
- Soul Stone‘s base effect prevents your health from dropping below 1, so its sacrifice cannot kill you. The enhanced effect is capped at one use per team each round.
- Time Stone never refunds Stone abilities you already spent. Both the base and enhanced rewind leave used Stone cooldowns running.
- Mind and Power Stones take effect only after their beams hit continuously, which requires an unobstructed view. An obstacle interrupts the beam before its effect can reach the target.
- Space Stone is castable multiple times in a row, giving you repeated repositioning rather than a single blink.
The Time Stone’s enhanced rewind can bring a downed hero back into the fight, but only if you use it at the right moment. Hold it for when your partner drops rather than spending it on chip damage.

How to get and switch Infinity Stones
At the start of every round, your duo is randomly assigned one of the six Stones. You never pick your starting Stone. To collect more, you must fully defeat another duo, dropping their shared health to zero, which hands you every Stone that team was carrying.
A duo’s health only slips toward zero deep into a round, so claiming Stones takes time and usually happens from round seven onward. When you win a capture, the game confirms it with an “Infinity Stone Captured” banner, and holding every Stone triggers the “All Infinity Stones Collected” message and the Infinity Gauntlet snap that ends the match in your favor.
You can track where every Stone sits by checking the scoreboard, which shows each team’s Stones and remaining health. Once you hold more than one, cycle between them with the switch prompt. On PC that is Z to swap and G to fire the equipped Stone, letting you chain, for example, a Power Stone beam into a Space Stone teleport in the same fight.
Collecting Stones also feeds the event’s missions. Taking 10 Stones from other teams rewards the free Infinity Gauntlet accessory, so stealing Stones late in matches doubles as progress toward that cosmetic. The mode runs through December 11, 2026, which leaves plenty of matches to build toward holding all six at once.
