Version 7.2 pairs one new five-star with three reruns, and the mix puts free-to-play players in an awkward spot right before the Cryo Archon’s debut. The new face is Mitya, an Electro character built around the Stellar Conduct reaction. Alongside him sit returning banners for Zibai, Linnea, and Furina. The trouble is that most of these units only shine inside specific, expensive team cores, and the patch that follows is widely expected to bring the Tsaritsa.
Quick answer: Pull Mitya only if you need an Electro main DPS or lack Yae Miko for Stellar Conduct teams. If you are free-to-play and want the Tsaritsa, treat 7.2 as a saving patch and skip the reruns.
Version 7.2 banner lineup
Version 7.2 is expected to run four characters across two phases: one new five-star and three reruns. No official release date has been confirmed yet, though the patch is projected to land in early November following the end of 7.1. Everything below is based on current leaks and should be read as provisional until HoYoverse publishes the schedule.
| Character | Element | Status | Role |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mitya | Electro | New 5-star | Stellar Conduct main or sub-DPS |
| Zibai | Geo | Rerun | Lunar-Crystallize main DPS |
| Linnea | Geo | Rerun | Off-field support and buffer |
| Furina | Hydro | Rerun | Off-field support |

Add to Google Preferences →Mitya: Electro Stellar Conduct carry
Mitya is an Electro catalyst wired into the Stellar Conduct system rather than a plain Electro build. His kit works in two modes. He can hold the on-field damage seat as a main DPS, or drop back as an off-field sub-DPS and buffer that feeds a Stellar Conduct team. HoYoverse has already flagged him in official notes as an “Electro Stellar Linchpin,” so his numbers run through that reaction.

His damage scales from Elemental Mastery instead of raw Attack. That one detail changes everything about his support line. Flat Attack buffers such as Bennett, Nicole, or Tenacity artifact holders do little for him, while Mastery sharers become his real engine.
On-field DPS teams
As an on-field carry, Mitya’s core is built around Yae Miko and Odette. The ideal fourth slot is C6 Valeriy, who adds direct Electro quill damage, shielding to protect charged attacks from interruption, +100 Elemental Mastery at C2, and +10% Crit Rate plus +40% Crit DMG at C6. If Valeriy is not an option, C6 Diona, Sucrose, or Xilonen on a four-piece Instructor set can fill the spot and keep the team’s Mastery high.
Off-field sub-DPS role
In the off-field role, Mitya slots into Stellar Conduct lineups with units like Sandrone and Wriothesley. He lands as the second-best off-field Electro option behind Yae Miko, adding his own damage plus +120 team Elemental Mastery.

If you already own Yae Miko and Odette, upgrading only the fourth slot with Mitya yields roughly a 5k to 10k DPS gain for about 80 pulls. That is a thin return, and it is the clearest case to skip his banner.
Zibai: top Geo and Lunar DPS, with conditions
Zibai is getting her first rerun after arriving in Version 6.3. Built to trigger Lunar-Crystallize, she currently leads the game’s Geo and Lunar damage dealers. Her top-end team of Zibai, Linnea, Columbina, and C6 Illuga can reach roughly 180k DPS, with each core support adding 25,000 to 30,000 DPS.

That damage ceiling demands a very specific setup. Zibai’s damage scales with Defense, and standard Viridescent Venerer resistance reduction does not work for her, sharply restricting her support choices. Without her ideal teammates, the alternatives are C1 Chiori or C6 Gorou. She also gains little from conventional buffers, making her expensive to build from the ground up.
Her endgame fit is mixed. Stygian Onslaught 7.1 content grants no Lunar-specific advantages, so Zibai has to brute-force its damage checks while mechanically favored Stellar units get built-in help.

On constellations, her C1 adds a 25 to 30% personal DPS increase and her C2 grants a team-wide Lunar-Crystallize buff that lifts her to 151% of C0 performance. Even so, securing Linnea at C0 is the higher priority than chasing Zibai constellations.
Linnea: Zibai’s inseparable support
Linnea serves as an off-field Geo sub-DPS who boosts Lunar-Crystallize. She reduces Geo resistance by 30% and increases Lunar-Crystallize damage for the entire team, directly strengthening Zibai and Columbina. The two are practically inseparable, so it is difficult to make a strong case for Zibai without Linnea.
Furina: reduced meta value
Furina has dropped sharply in priority. Modern Lunar and Stellar reaction carries do not scale well from standard elemental damage bonus buffs, which is exactly what she provides. Her value now concentrates in a few teams rather than the near-universal support role she once held.
She can still deal about 130k–140k DPS in a Skirk hyper team (Skirk, Escoffier, Furina, Vodyanitsa) or Mavuika Vape (Mavuika, Xilonen, Furina, Bennett). Across the rest of the 7.2 lineup, she is the lowest-priority character; pulling her is mainly a matter of preference or a Skirk-focused choice.
Pull priority for the 7.2 banners
| Priority | Character | When it is worth it |
|---|---|---|
| First | Mitya | You need an Electro main DPS or lack Yae Miko for Stellar Conduct |
| Second | Zibai | You already own, or will commit to, Linnea and Columbina |
| Lowest | Furina | Preference pull, or you run Skirk hyper teams |
Mitya tops the list only when he solves a real gap. If your Stellar Conduct roster is already complete, the upgrade is marginal. Zibai is worth it when you own or intend to build her full premium core, because starting her team from zero is a heavy investment with little flexibility. Furina sits at the bottom unless you specifically run her remaining teams.
Why free-to-play players should think twice
The real pressure on 7.2 comes from timing. Version 7.3 is expected to debut the Cryo Archon, the Tsaritsa, around mid-December, and Mitya is designed to stand beside her. Valeriy, his four-star partner, can even cover the Tsaritsa’s slot on a Mitya team until she arrives. That makes 7.2 read as groundwork for the Archon banner rather than an endpoint.
Budget matters here. A free-to-play player is projected to earn roughly 83 to 84 limited-banner pulls across the full Version 7.2 cycle, and that total is not evenly split. Around 55 of those wishes land in the first phase, with 28 to 29 in the second. Starting a brand-new Zibai team from scratch, or spending 80 pulls on a slim Mitya upgrade, can leave you short for the Archon.
If the Tsaritsa is your goal, the safest play is to hold your wishes through 7.2, lean on Valeriy to bridge a Mitya team cheaply if you do pull him, and reassess once the official schedule and rerun slots are confirmed. For anyone deep into the Cryo-Electro core already, Mitya is the carry that reaction has been waiting for, and he is the one unit on this lineup that justifies breaking the stash early.
