Climb For Animals Eggs: How to Mutate Animals in the Mutate Machine

The fusion machine needs three animals of the same species and variant before it will produce a mutated pet.

The fusion machine needs three animals of the same species and variant before it will produce a mutated pet.

The Mutate Machine in Climb For Animals Eggs turns duplicate pets into a single mutated version of the same creature. Instead of selling the extra animals you hatch for Cash, you feed three of them into the machine and get back one upgraded critter. The catch is that the machine is strict about what it accepts, and feeding it the wrong mix just produces an error.

Quick answer: Load the Mutate Machine with three animals sharing an identical species and variant, then select Cash to merge them into a single mutated pet.

What the Mutate Machine needs before it will fuse

The machine will only start when all three slots hold matching animals. If anything is off, it refuses to run and shows a red warning banner instead of starting the fusion.

  • Exactly three animals, no more and no fewer, fill the three slots.
  • All three share the same species, such as three Crabs or three Chickens.
  • All three share the same variant, so three Normal Crabs work but a Golden Crab mixed with a Normal Crab does not.
  • You have enough Cash, since every use of the machine costs in-game currency.

Weight does not matter. You can combine animals of any weight as long as the species and variant line up. When something is wrong, the interface reads “No Matching Animals!” and shows either “All 3 Animals Must Be the Same Species!” or “All 3 Animals Must Be the Same Variant!”

Where to find the Mutate Machine

The purple Mutate Machine sits on the left edge of the Safe Zone near spawn, right beside the Sell Shop and the group chest. A floating 3D label marks it, so you can spot it without searching. Any player can walk up and use it.

How to mutate an animal

Hatch enough eggs from a single zone so you end up with three identical pets. Eggs stolen from one area tend to hatch similar animals, which is how you build up copies that share a species.
Walk up to the purple Mutate Machine in the Safe Zone and interact with it. The fusion menu opens with three empty slots and your inventory along the bottom.
Click one of the three boxes, then pick a pet from your inventory. Repeat for the other two boxes, selecting pets that match the first one in both species and variant.
Select Cash to activate the machine. Currency is spent, and the mutation timer begins.
Wait for the timer to finish, then collect the mutated pet from the machine. Rarer pets take longer to process.

The three animals you submit are consumed and deleted once the machine runs, so only feed in duplicates you are willing to lose.

Why the variant rule matters

Species alone is not enough. Three Crabs will still be refused if their variants differ, for example a Golden Crab paired with a Normal Crab. The machine treats variant as a separate requirement and stops with “All 3 Animals Must Be the Same Variant!” until every slot holds the same color tier.

Because of this, it helps to keep duplicates sorted by both species and variant before you reach the machine. A batch of three Normal Crabs fuses cleanly, while a mixed batch of one Golden and two Normals never will.

What you get out of it

A successful run returns one mutated pet of the same species you put in. Golden mutations are the common result, though the machine can apply better mutations as well. Pets of any rarity can be mutated, so late-game players with high Speed can carry Astral-rarity pets up from the Realm of Legends zone, hatch several copies, and fuse them the same way.

You know the fusion worked when the mutation timer counts down and the finished mutated animal becomes available to collect from the machine. From there you can place it on your base to start earning Cash, the same as any other pet.
