Gems are the main currency in Survive a Million Monkeys, and they pay for the classes and weapon upgrades that keep you alive deeper into each monkey horde. The quickest way to stockpile them is to redeem active codes before anything else, then layer the free gift box and a solo farming route on top.

Quick answer: Redeem all five active codes for 27,000 Gems, open the purple gift box in the lobby for another 1,000 Gems plus a free SMG, then farm the Cove map solo as the Engineer.

Redeem all active codes for Gems

Codes are the single biggest Gem spike you can grab, and every current one pays out instantly. Five codes are live right now, worth 27,000 Gems in total.

SURVIVE1,000 Gems
Launch Survive a Million Monkeys on Roblox and finish the short tutorial. The Codes button only becomes usable once you reach the lobby.
Select Codes in the lobby’s upper-right corner to bring up the entry box.
Type or paste each code exactly as written, matching capitalization, then press the green checkmark. Enter them one at a time until all five are done.

You know a code worked when the redeemed confirmation appears and your Gem balance jumps by the listed amount. If a new code fails, rejoin to land on a fresh server and try again.

Third-party Gem generators and “free currency” scripts are scams that can get your account banned. Gems only come from codes, the gift box, daily rewards, and normal play.

Claim the free gift box for 1,000 Gems and an SMG

A separate lobby reward hands you another 1,000 Gems and a free SMG, and it is not a text code. You unlock it by completing a short social checklist, then opening the purple gift box that sits in the lobby.

  • Give Survive a Million Monkeys a Like on its Roblox page.
  • Turn on notifications for the experience.
  • Join the Gorilla Warfare group.
  • At the lobby, use the purple gift box, then press the green tick.

The green tick confirms the claim, and the 1,000 Gems drop into your balance alongside the SMG, which softens the early waves while you build toward bigger purchases.

Collect the daily rewards

The lobby’s daily login track also awards Gems. Select the calendar icon in the upper-right corner, just before Codes, and collect the reward currently available. Log in on successive days to advance through the track, which grants a permanent weapon on day seven.

Farm Gems solo with the Engineer on Cove

Once codes and rewards have padded your balance, the most reliable repeatable income comes from completing boss waves. A solo Engineer setup on the Cove map clears waves safely enough to reach the third boss and bank a large Gem payout per run. The Engineer unlocks for 30,000 Gems, so clear the codes above first to afford it.

The idea is simple. Turrets do the damage while you stand in the open to pull every monkey toward you, keeping the banana-throwing enemies from wrecking your turret line.

Equip the Engineer, head to the lobby transport truck, and select Cove with a lobby size of 1 on Normal mode. Create the session.

As soon as you load in, press Skip Wave on Wave 1. This forces monkeys to spawn faster, which speeds up your in-run cash so you can afford turrets sooner.

Head to the beach’s sandbank corner beside the wooden stair structure. Keep your turret cluster there for the entire run.

Place eight turrets in rows while they are still cheap at $50 each. Do not spend on early weapon upgrades yet; turret volume matters more than your gun at this point.

Take position on the clear beach path before the turrets. Drawing all the monkeys into one line makes them direct their attacks at you, keeping banana-throwing monkeys from targeting and breaking your turrets.

Save your coins instead of buying Shotgun upgrades, then purchase the Burst Rifle upgrade once you can afford it. The upgrade menu lists it at $750.

When the boss meter fills on Wave 13 for The Cove King, move further along the beach so boss attacks miss your turrets, then trigger the Engineer’s Overclock ultimate to burn the boss down fast.
Collect the gem pickups the boss drops, then save up to $2,500 coins and buy the Minigun upgrade.
Max out your Health, use the Repair wrench during the quiet gaps between waves to fix damaged turrets, and keep adding turrets to the cluster. In later waves, shoot the banana-throwing monkeys first since their ranged hits are what chip away at your defenses.
Hold the position through to Wave 33 and defeat The Cove King a third time. That boss kill delivers the large Gem payout that makes the run worthwhile.

You can confirm the run paid out by returning to the lobby and checking your Gem total, which climbs with each successful farm. A single clean run of this route took one balance from 5,665 up to 11,875 Gems.
