The map in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse is large enough that running everywhere on foot quickly becomes a chore, and Rose Belmont has two ways to skip most of it. One is tied to the blue save mirrors you already visit, and the other runs through an NPC you meet on the main path. Neither is handed to you with a loud tutorial, so plenty of players spend hours on foot before noticing them.

Quick answer: Crouch in front of any Mirror of Life for a few seconds to enter the Hall of Mirrors and warp to another mirror, and unlock Ferryman’s Wharf points through glowing blue doors to jump between regions.

Fast travel with Mirrors of Life

The large blue mirrors scattered across the world are called Mirrors of Life. They work as Rose’s save rooms, restoring her health and setting the respawn point she returns to on death. They also double as warp points, which is the part the game never spells out.

Walk directly in front of an unlocked Mirror of Life inside a save room.
Hold down on the directional pad so Rose crouches and stays there for a few seconds. An animation plays and pulls her into a hub called the Hall of Mirrors.
Inside the hub, each mirror represents a Mirror of Life you have already found. Crouch in front of any one of them to exit at that location.

You know it worked when the crouch animation triggers and the screen transitions into the mirror-filled hub room rather than staying in the save room. On a base PlayStation 5, expect roughly 15 seconds between crouching and regaining control inside the hub. The more mirrors you activate, the wider your network of return points becomes.

Mirror warps move you between save points, so activating every new mirror you pass is what keeps this method useful later in the game.

Fast travel with the Ferryman

The second system handles longer trips between regions rather than hops inside a single area. Early in the campaign, Rose meets the Ferryman by passing through a glowing blue door. That encounter happens as part of the main story and needs no side quest to trigger it.

Once you have met him, every matching glowing blue door you find opens a Ferryman’s Wharf point. You have to reach and activate each wharf before you can travel to it, and they are spread thin across the map. When a destination is unlocked, open the Ferryman’s Wharf menu, choose a destination such as Paris Streets or the Ruined Market, and confirm the trip.

The Ferryman also becomes a Tarot card and hands you a quest to track down his coins, which is the route to unlocking the Freezing Path Arcana.

Which method to use when

MethodScopeHow to unlock
Mirrors of LifeBetween mirrors within the explored mapFound while exploring; also act as save points
Ferryman’s WharfBetween major regionsMeet the Ferryman, then activate wharf points via glowing blue doors

Use the mirrors for quick returns to collectibles and save rooms you have already cleared, and lean on the Ferryman when you need to cross between large zones like the Paris streets and Dracula’s Castle. Running the two together removes most of the manual backtracking, even though a little legwork between unlocked points is unavoidable.
