Aion 2 Halloween Event: How to Get Pumpkin Coins, Candy Keys and Odyle Energy

The Trick or Treat event runs until November 4, handing out coin rewards, colored candy keys and extra dungeon energy for free.

The Trick or Treat event runs until November 4, handing out coin rewards, colored candy keys and extra dungeon energy for free.

Aion 2’s first global seasonal event is live, and it is a Halloween one. The Trick or Treat celebration layers three reward tracks on top of your normal play: a 14-day login path and weekly missions that pay Halloween Pumpkin Coins, a colored candy system fed by dungeon fragments, and a paid cosmetic rotation in the Atelier shop. The coin and candy tracks funnel progression materials — including extra Odyle Energy — straight to your account for playing content you already run.

Quick answer: Claim Trick or Treat attendance for 620 coins total, clear the 10 weekly Season Missions for 235 more each week, then spend 60 Candy Key Fragments per key through Substance Morph. Buy the 250-coin Halloween Chest first.

Event dates and where to spend coins

Trick or Treat begins October 14 and remains available until maintenance on November 4, 2026. You only need to claim 14 days on the attendance track, so one or two missed logins during the event won’t prevent you from earning the full reward. Conquerors of the Abyss is a separate event running at the same time; it finishes sooner, on October 28, and uses Abyss Rift Stones purchased with Kinah instead of Pumpkin Coins.

A temporary Halloween Pumpkin Coin Trader sits next to a teleporter in each faction’s main hubs. Elyos players find it in Verteron, at the Dawn Legion Base, and in Zumion Village. Asmodian players find it in Altgard, at Safe Haven and the Nornir Assembly. Every merchant stocks the same list, so visit whichever hub is closest.

How to earn Halloween Pumpkin Coins

Coins come from two faucets. Open the in-game menu, go to Attendance, and claim Trick or Treat each day you log in. The 14-day schedule pays a fixed total of 620 coins, with the two bonus days worth 100 each.

The second faucet is the 10 weekly objectives under Season Mission, in the Event tab. They reset once per week per server and clear themselves if you are already running endgame content at level 45. The full set pays 235 coins per week.

The weekly missions reset per server, not per character, so a second character parked on the same server does not grant a second set of rewards.

What to buy at the Pumpkin Coin Trader

The vendor mixes a one-time cosmetic, per-server weekly stock, and per-character consumables. The Special Halloween Chest is the single purchase worth reserving coins for: it costs 250 coins, is limited to one per server, and contains the Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate skin plus 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals. Attendance alone covers it with change to spare.

Once you have the chest, spend next on the four weekly Odyle Energy purchases (40 coins altogether) and the Nightmare and Shugo keys; they’re important for progression and difficult to replace. Halloween Candy provides +25 Attack, +250 Defense, +300 Max Stamina, and +40% natural Stamina regen for five minutes. Halloween Cookies replace the Attack increase with +500 Max HP and +250 Max MP. Save the unlimited Superior Power Shards, which cost one coin each, for after you’ve covered every priority.

How to craft Candy Keys and open the giant candies

The three colored candies floating next to the merchant require Candy Key Fragments, a currency separate from Pumpkin Coins. Morphing a key takes 60 fragments. On each server, you can craft one key of each color per week.

Open the main menu and select Substance Morph, then switch to the Event category. Pick the recipe for the color you want and spend 60 fragments. The morph has a 100% success chance, so one attempt always produces a key.

Carry the key in your inventory to the event plaza, then interact with the giant candy that matches its color. The Blue Candy Key unlocks the Blue Halloween Candy, and its rewards go directly into your inventory.

Alongside its color-specific drops, each candy gives 5 Halloween Candy and 5 Halloween Cookie. If you can’t craft all three in a week, make Blue your first choice to open for the energy.

Dungeons that drop Candy Key Fragments

Fragments come from Expedition and Transcendence runs, so it helps to know the entry conditions before you queue. Ferocious Horn Den is a 1–5 player dungeon in the Abyss with a 60-minute limit and four bosses at level 63, offered in Exploration and Conquest difficulties. Deus Research Base runs on Exploration and Transcendence, holds three level 45 bosses, and scales its required gear score by stage.

DungeonDifficultiesPlayersBoss level
Ferocious Horn DenExploration, Conquest1–563
Deus Research BaseExploration, Transcendence2–545

Deus Research Base gates each stage behind a gear score of 1600, 1900, 2200, then 2500. Both dungeons feed the weekly Transcendence and Expedition coin missions as well, so a single clear advances two tracks.

The Odyle Energy change for alts

The global patch reworked how much Odyle Energy you can stock each week. The old limit of 4 per character and 16 per server is gone. Each character can now buy up to 20 Odyle Energy per week from the Wind Breeze Merchant at 100,000 Kinah each. Every additional character you keep earns 16 more Expedition runs weekly, which makes alts far more useful for farming fragments. The event layers free energy on top through the coin shop and the Blue Candy, which is why Blue is the key to craft first.

Instant clear tickets for daily dungeons and soul crystals were also moved out of the Wind Breeze shop and into Substance Morph for the duration of the server-transfer window, so free-to-play players have a short chance to pick up soul crystals they would not normally reach.

New Halloween skins in the Atelier shop

The cash shop under Atelier carries a full seasonal rotation, on sale until maintenance on November 24/25, 2026. None of the items carry stats. Three five-to-six-piece armor sets cost $29.99 each: Monarch of Blood (a vampire-themed set with a cloak), Midnight Witch, and Midnight Slasher. Spider Wings run $19.99 and bind to one character, while the Pumpkin Carriage and Little Ghost mounts are $19.99 each and limited to one per server. Around 50 single helm and face cosmetics sell for 300 Quna apiece.

The Halloween Night weapon skin costs $11.99, and you can only buy the version that matches your own class. Each class uses its own main weapon, so the skin arrives in that form.

Confirming your rewards and finishing before the deadline

You know the chest worked when the Spooky Scary Skeleton breastplate appears under Closet, in the Armor tab, and 10,000 Pet Soul Crystals land in your inventory. A candy is spent correctly when the morphed key leaves your bag and the loot drops after you interact with the matching display. Each Substance Morph attempt succeeds at 100%, so there is no failed-craft state to worry about.

Before maintenance on November 4, claim as much of the 14-day attendance path as you can, finish the weekly missions you still want, convert any fragments into keys and open the candies, and spend your remaining coins. The Conquerors of the Abyss event closes a week earlier on October 28, so handle anything you want from that separately rather than assuming both share the same deadline.
