The Hall of Mirrors in Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse hides 4 relics, a Legendary weapon, six Heart Fragments and four stat books across its rooms. Everything sits inside one of five Mirror of Life groups, and a large share of it is tucked behind Secret Areas that each open in one of four ways. Here is every pickup, where it sits, and how each sub-area’s Secret Areas open.
Quick answer: The Hall of Mirrors holds 4 relics, the Legendary weapon Bernhard’s Wrath, 6 Heart Fragments (3 Brave, 3 Wise), 4 books (2 ATK UP, 2 DEF UP), 21 XP statues and 10 pieces of meat. It has 37 Secret Areas, and 21 of them hold a pickup.
Every Secret Area, chest and collectible in this guide is marked on the Hall of Mirrors interactive map.
How the Hall of Mirrors’ Secret Areas open
All four kinds of Secret Area appear in the Hall of Mirrors. Knowing which kind you are looking at tells you exactly what to do to get in.
- Hidden passage — there is no lever, switch or wall to break. The way in is hidden in the wall itself. The in-game tutorial card reads: “Some secret areas are hidden behind walls. Look out for the visual and audio clues.”
- Breakable wall — a cracked section of wall. Hit it with your weapon until it breaks, and the Secret Area is behind it.
- Lever gate — this gate is operated by a lever. Use INTERACT to pull it: R1 on PlayStation or E on PC.
- Smash floor — a floor breakable with Smash, gained alongside the Arcana of Talos in the Clock Tower’s Final Trap.
The Smash tutorial reads: “Pressing Down + Jump while Rose is in the air will now send her crashing to the ground. The impact can break destructible objects, recognisable by their golden cracks, and can also damage enemies.” That is Down + Cross on PlayStation, or S + Space on PC.
A thick Smash floor needs the stronger version. The Heavy Stomp tutorial reads: “The Stomp has several power levels that activate depending on the distance travelled during the fall. If Rose jumps high enough, she can break thicker destructible objects!” So for a thick floor, jump or drop from high up before you Smash.
The map tutorial reads: “Placing a MARKER on a secret or an unreachable location allows you to return to it later.” On PC, hover over the spot on the map and press Space to drop one.
