Dracula’s Castle rises over a burning Paris the moment the vampire lord returns, and steering Rose Belmont to its gates sends you on a long climb out of the Catacombs and across the Justice District. The map is sprawling and loops back on itself, so it is easy to lose the thread once the Stop the Resurrection objective begins.
Quick answer: After Stop the Resurrection, lose the first Death fight on purpose, follow Collapsed Path of Orpheus to the Ferryman, cross Justice District to the Court of Justice, then get past Isaac to enter the castle.

Finish Stop the Resurrection and lose to Death first
The route to the castle only opens once you have pushed through the Catacombs of Paris and reached the ritual chamber deep below. There you come face to face with Death for the first time.
You are meant to lose this first Death encounter. He has a full set of attacks, but none of them matter here. Let him defeat Rose to trigger the cutscene that sets up the climb to the surface.

Cross Justice District to the castle approach
From the crossing, the path runs up through the streets, courts, and sewers of the Justice District. The castle itself comes into view at the Bridge of the Millers, but it is still a long way off. Follow the waypoints below in order, picking up the optional rewards as you pass them.
| Area | What to do | Optional pickup |
|---|---|---|
| Realm of Old Night | Follow the connected route toward the streets | XP statue |
| Bridge of the Millers | Ride the waterwheel up to trigger a cutscene | XP statue |
| Court of Justice | Clear the blocked path with grapples and switches | Brave Heart Fragment |
| Bishop’s Office | Examine the clues, then continue onward | Warning from Father note |
| Justice District Sewers | Grapple up and use the save point ahead | |
| Palace of Justice | Pass straight through toward Isaac | Tree of Justice clue |
The Bastard Sword sits in a chest in the Justice District Sewers and is the one notable weapon on this stretch. Grab it if you find it, but it does not open any doors, and you can keep your current weapon if it is serving you well.
The Tree of Justice clue in the Palace of Justice is a side mystery. You can reach the castle without resolving it, so push on toward Isaac and come back later if you want to free the trapped figure it describes.

Get past Isaac at the castle approach
Isaac confronts Rose just short of the castle, serving Dracula and trying to block her path. He is fast and agile, which makes the fight trickier than his health pool suggests. Watch for the four moves below and punish the recovery after each one.

| Move | How to avoid it |
|---|---|
| Dash Strike | He rushes in and ends with a two-hit combo; back-dash away |
| Homing Spear | He rises and throws a spinning spear that homes in twice; jump and dodge |
| Melee Counter | One or two close-range swings; stay out of melee range |
| Three Dash Strike | Three dashes, swinging twice then striking twice; dodge each pass |
Even with his varied attacks, he falls fairly fast. After the battle, Isaac explains that Rose defeated an illusion; his real body is bound inside the Clock Tower to protect Dracula. Leon then moves to defend Rose, so wait for their conversation to end instead of seeking another guardian or a key.
Confirm you reached Dracula’s Castle
Cross the bridge on the right beyond the Isaac encounter and the on-screen location name changes to Dracula’s Castle. That name change, together with the new objective that begins, confirms the Justice District leg is over and Rose is finally inside the Lord of Darkness’s domain.
