The Halloween Egg is the limited event egg in Ride a Pet, added with Update 4 alongside the new Halloween World and the Halloween Token currency. It sells for 350 Halloween Tokens at the event shop, holds a pool of six pets, and hatches the moment you place it on your ranch. A buying run of 21,000 tokens turns into exactly 60 eggs, which is enough to see how the egg behaves at scale and what it drops.

Quick answer: One Halloween Egg costs 350 Halloween Tokens, has no hatch timer, and hatches one random pet from a pool of six. The secret Headless Horse is not in that pool.

Six pets in the Halloween Egg pool

Every Halloween Egg draws one random pet from the same set of six. There is no pity counter that guarantees a missing pet after a set number of hatches, so duplicates are common on a long run. The egg carries an Ethereal rarity tier with a displayed base luck of 1 trillion, which describes the tier rather than the odds of any single pet.

350 tokens per egg, and what 21,000 buys

The Shop Guy NPC in Halloween World sells the egg for a flat 350 Halloween Tokens, with no Robux required. The purchase menu shows the egg and its 350 price, and confirms each buy with a “Bought Halloween Egg!” prompt. Tokens come from candy that you carry back to the drop-off station before it spoils.

At 350 each, a 21,000-token balance clears exactly 60 eggs. In practice a buying spree runs the balance down in batches, and the token counter can drop to as low as 183 once the last egg is purchased. Scaling the cost looks like this:

No hatch timer and the 10-egg plot limit

The Halloween Egg has no hatch timer. The purchase screen flags this directly with a “NO HATCH TIME!” label, and placing an egg on the ranch hatches it immediately into a pet. That removes the usual incubation wait and makes bulk buying the fastest way to roll the pool.

A ranch plot holds a maximum of 10 eggs at once, shown in-game as “Max 10/10 Eggs In Plot”. Eggs also carry a weight value that varies widely, from a few kilograms up to the hundreds of thousands. On the long run above, the heaviest eggs placed on the plot ran past 502,000 kg, which is why players sort their stock and place the heaviest eggs first.

Yin and Yang ritual tokens, separate from the egg

Update 4 added a ritual loop that now lets players collect Yin and Yang pieces on every egg respawn cycle, roughly every 7 to 8 minutes. The two halves spawn around the Halloween map, often near the large pumpkins or by the graveyard. Bringing both to the Sealed Cave and placing them in the Yin-Yang door lock opens the cave.

Inside, you pick up a Ritual Candy Pot and carry it to the collection zone before it spoils. A delivered pot pays +50 Halloween Tokens, which feeds straight back into egg purchases.

The Headless Horse is not in the egg

Halloween Eggs cannot hatch the Headless Horse. Instead, it is obtained through a separate Headless Egg associated with the Yinyang Cave; opening the cave reportedly has roughly a 0.1% chance of spawning one. When the Headless Egg shows up, it immediately produces a Headless Horse. This pet is completely separate from the six-pet token pool, so even a lengthy egg run like the one above may yield no headless pet.

Run the Yin and Yang route while you buy eggs. The ritual pays tokens every cycle and is the only path to the Headless Horse, so pairing both loops gets more value from each trip.

How long the Halloween Egg stays available

The egg is labelled limited-time, and two clocks are in play. The Roblox event window is listed to end October 17, 2026, while the in-game countdown above the Halloween World portal has been reported as running toward November 7, 2026. No single end date is settled, so the countdown shown over the event portal is the reliable figure to check before planning a long token run.

For anyone deciding whether the grind is worth it, the shape of the egg is simple. It is a cheap, no-timer roll on six pets, best bought in bulk once tokens are banked, with the Headless Horse kept behind a separate low-odds ritual rather than the egg itself.
