Prickle Pearl is a food ingredient added with the Cinder’s Cradle region in the Enshrouded 1.0 update. It grows underground in the volcanic north of the map, and a single plant drops several at once along with a few crafting scraps. Picking one up also teaches you the recipes it feeds into.

Quick answer: Head into the Cave Passage marked “Crops Of Cinder’s Cradle” in the volcanic area northeast of Starfish Shores, past the Ancient Gate, then press E on the spiky plants with reddish-pink tips to harvest Prickle Pearl.

Where Prickle Pearl grows in Cinder’s Cradle

Prickle Pearl is found inside a cave in the northeastern volcanic part of Cinder’s Cradle. The entrance sits past the Ancient Gate, northeast of Starfish Shores, and the map marks it as a Cave Passage tied to the “Crops Of Cinder’s Cradle” objective. There is one entrance leading into the passage, and the plants cluster on the cavern floor among glowing flora and thick vegetation.

The plant is a spiky, dark green fern-like bush topped with reddish-pink buds. Harvesting one yields several Prickle Pearls, and you will often pull Twigs and Plant Fiber from the same bushes.

Go in during in-game morning hours. The cave floor is crowded with other plants, so brighter light makes the Prickle Pearl bushes far easier to pick out.

Make your way to the marker and walk into the single cave entrance. The path leads into an overgrown cavern lit by blue flora, so keep following it inward.

Find a thorny bush with red tips near the ground and move beside it. When the “E Harvest” prompt appears, press E to pick the plant. One bush may yield +4 Prickle Pearl; other bushes nearby provide more, as well as Twigs and Plant Fiber.

What Prickle Pearl does

Eaten on its own, Prickle Pearl is a Common food that triggers active health regeneration. It restores 24 Health Regeneration over a duration of 3 minutes and 30 seconds, and it stacks up to 20 in a slot.

Recipes that use Prickle Pearl

Once you have picked up Prickle Pearl, it becomes an ingredient for three cooked dishes made at the Kitchen. Each one gives a longer, stronger effect than eating the raw fruit.

DishRarityEffectDuration
Prickle Pearl TartRareStamina Regeneration 75600 s
Pearlbloom NectarUncommonStamina 70, Health Regeneration 123600 s
Exotic Fruit SaladUncommonHealth Regeneration 243600 s

The Prickle Pearl Tart is a shortcrust pastry filled with the fresh fruit, and it boosts stamina replenishment. Pearlbloom Nectar is pressed from Prickle Pearl and Bloomheart Fruit and raises maximum stamina. Exotic Fruit Salad combines Prickle Pearl with Bloomheart Fruit, Strawberries and Dates for steady health regeneration.

Farming Prickle Pearl at your base

If you would rather grow your own supply than return to the cave, you can plant Prickle Pearl Seedlings once you have unlocked the Seedbed recipe and picked up at least one Prickle Pearl. The seedling recipe also unlocks after you rescue the farmer, Emily Fray.

  • Craft at the Seedbed using 1 Prickle Pearl and 1 Basalt Farm Soil, which makes 5 seedlings.
  • Sow the seedlings in Basalt Farm Soil, the only soil they grow in.
  • They grow through 4 steps, roughly 27 minutes to just over an hour at default growth speed.
  • At maturity, a plant yields 4 Prickle Pearl from its single harvest.

Between the cave route and a small farm plot, a steady stock of Prickle Pearl keeps you supplied for the regeneration and stamina dishes you will lean on across the floating islands of Cinder’s Cradle.
