How to donate to the community center in Paralives

Find the four bundle books inside the ruined cathedral and contribute the exact items each one requests.

Find the four bundle books inside the ruined cathedral and contribute the exact items each one requests.

The community center in Paralives sits on the northwest edge of Melino as a set of half-ruined cathedral walls, and restoring it is one of the longer-running projects your Parafolk can take on. Donations are sorted into four themed bundles, and each bundle only accepts a specific set of items requested in its book.

📍
Quick answer: Go to the community center near the museum and town hall, click one of the four colored books on podiums inside, and pick “Make a donation” to contribute a valid item to that bundle.

Where the community center is in Melino

The community center is in the Old Town district, tucked between the museum and the town hall and library complex. It looks nothing like the polished buildings around it. Expect crumbling stone walls and an open, cathedral-style layout rather than a finished venue.

To locate it on the map, pan the camera to the far western edge of Melino, then move north past the health center. The community center sits just north of the health center and immediately south of the museum, with the high school lot a short distance to the east.

The four donation bundles

Unlike the museum, which accepts any gem, mushroom, or buried artifact you bring in, the community center only takes items that match one of its four bundles. Each bundle is represented by a colored book resting on a podium inside the ruins.

Each book lists the exact items or materials the bundle currently needs. Open a book before you go hunting so you know what to gather, since the community center will not accept items outside the requested set. Some bundles, particularly Food, expect you to have prepared meals sitting in your inventory rather than raw ingredients.

Making the donation

Travel to the community center lot in northwest Melino with a Parafolk you control. You can walk in from the street since the building is open-air ruins rather than an enclosed venue.
Click on the colored book that matches the bundle you want to contribute to. Each podium is interactive on its own, so you do not need to start from a central menu.
Select “Make a donation” from the interaction menu. If your inventory does not contain a valid item for that bundle, the option will open, but you will not be able to submit anything, so make sure you collected or crafted the right item first.
Choose the matching item from your inventory to hand it over. The bundle’s progress will update, and reaching the listed milestones unlocks rewards tied to that bundle.

How to confirm the donation went through

After a successful donation, the bundle’s progress indicator on the book moves forward and the item leaves your inventory. If neither happens, the item you tried to submit was not on that bundle’s request list, or you opened the donation menu without a qualifying item.

⚠️
If the donate option opens but no items appear as valid, you are at the wrong bundle book. Check the other three podiums, since each one only accepts its own request list.

Why it is worth finishing

Completing community center bundles is a long-term town project that restores the ruined building and ties into broader missions your Parafolk receive over time. It runs parallel to museum donations rather than replacing them, so you can work on both as you explore Melino, dig up buried chests, pick mushrooms in the woods, and stockpile gems near the cliff faces on the outskirts of town.

Paralives launched in Early Access on May 25th, 2026, on Steam for PC and Mac, with the museum and collections system confirmed as a day-one feature alongside the open-world town of Melino.
