In AION 2, your Cube is your main inventory, and it fills up fast. It starts at 40 slots, and every extra row you buy with Kina costs more than the last one. The Cube Expansion Voucher skips the Kina cost entirely. You earn it from a small set of regional quests, and it expands your Cube the moment it lands.
Quick answer: Complete Shugo-of-All-Trades (Dari) and your faction’s Nine Wonders: Final Stretch quest. Each awards one voucher, which unlocks one Cube row automatically on turn-in.

Cube Expansion Voucher effect
The voucher unlocks one line of Cube, which is one full row of inventory slots. You don’t open it, click it, or drag it anywhere. It is consumed on pickup, so it never sits in your inventory taking up the space it’s supposed to create.
| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Grade | Common |
| Category | Expansion Tool |
| Required level | 1 |
| Factions | Elyos and Asmodian |
| Use | Automatic on acquisition |
| Trade | Not tradable |
| Storage | Cannot be stored |
| Sell | Cannot be sold |
| Crafting | No recipe |
Because the voucher is bound and used instantly, you can’t stockpile it on one character or pass it to an alt through Server Storage. Every character has to earn its own.

Three regional quest titles reward the voucher. Shugo-of-All-Trades has a separate version for each faction, and each faction has its own Nine Wonders finale. That gives every character two quest vouchers, which means two free Cube rows.
| Quest | Faction | Quest giver | Rec. level |
|---|---|---|---|
| Shugo-of-All-Trades | Elyos | Dari, Coastal Camp (Verteron) | 12 |
| Shugo-of-All-Trades | Asmodian | Dari, Temporary Investigation Base (Altgard) | 12 |
| Nine Wonders of Verteron: Final Stretch | Elyos | Nevius, Zumion Statue (Verteron) | 45 |
| Nine Wonders of Altgard: Final Stretch | Asmodian | Tina, Basfelt Ruins Cliff (Altgard) | 45 |
All of these quests unlock at level 10. Shugo-of-All-Trades is the quick one and can be done almost as soon as you reach the open zones. The Nine Wonders finales come at the end of a longer sightseeing chain and are tuned for level 45.

Shugo-of-All-Trades walkthrough
Dari is a Shugo who claims to be a legendary craftsman. He promises to enlarge your Cube if you recover the bag he dropped while running from some Crestlich. “I’ll even expand your dainty little Cube. How’s that, nyerk?” he offers. The Elyos version runs out of Coastal Camp in Verteron.
Dari then admits he has never done this before, and the expansion works anyway. Turning in the quest gives 15,105 EXP plus these rewards:
- Kina (Bound) x10,000
- Wisdom Stone (Bound) x1
- Daevanion Crystal (Bound) x1
- Title: Everything Has Its Use (HP Potion recovery +1%)
- Cube Expansion Voucher x1

Nine Wonders: Final Stretch for Elyos and Asmodians
Both factions get a regional chain where an NPC explorer races you to visit nine scenic landmarks. The voucher is attached to the last leg, which picks up after you have already seen seven wonders. In each case you meet your rival, visit the final two spots, and turn in at the second one.
| Quest | Start | Wonders to visit | Turn in |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nine Wonders of Verteron: Final Stretch | Nevius at the Zumion Statue | Altamia Highland Ruins, Nahid Brigade Fortress Hill | Nevius at Nahid Brigade Fortress Hill |
| Nine Wonders of Altgard: Final Stretch | Tina at Basfelt Ruins Cliff | Tail Island (Eastern Gribade), Impetusium Lower Path | Tina at Impetusium Lower Path |
At each wonder, interact with the “Admire the scenery” point to tick off the objective. Nevius stresses that you only need to go near the Balaur fortress, not inside it. Both quests pay Kina (Bound) x100,000, a Wisdom Stone (Bound), a Daevanion Crystal (Bound), the title Full of Soul, and the Cube Expansion Voucher. The Verteron finale is worth 4,044,724 EXP and the Altgard finale is worth 3,936,438 EXP.

Cube Expansion Voucher (Bound) from the Shop and Season 1 Starter
There is also a separate item, Cube Expansion Voucher (Bound). It has the same Common grade and does the same job. It comes from two places outside of quests. One is the AION 2 Season 1 Starter (Bound) chest, which also contains potions, a Superior Power Shard, and a Key: Hidden Cube. The other is the Shop, which you open from the main menu. Like the quest version, it can’t be traded or stored, and both factions can use it.
Cube Expansion Voucher vs. Kina expansions
You can also buy Cube rows with Kina. Open the Cube from the main menu (ESC) and click the lock icon below your unlocked slots to see the price of the next row. Each purchase adds one row, the same as a voucher, but the Kina price goes up with every expansion. A voucher adds its row without counting as a paid unlock, so it’s the cheapest space you’ll get.
Cube vouchers only affect the Cube. Character Storage and Server Storage at the Storage Manager have their own separate expansion vouchers, and expanding one storage does nothing for the others.

How to confirm your Cube expanded
When you complete the quest, a “Cube expanded.” system message appears alongside the quest-complete banner. Open your Cube and you’ll see one more unlocked row than before, with the lock icon pushed down a line. The voucher won’t show up as an item, because it was already used.
