The Fable Rose is one of the four roses Fisch players need for the cemetery rituals in FischFright 3. It comes from a single source, the Dullahan quest at the Haunted Mansion on the back side of Caustic Hallow. The quest is a bundle of nine separate jobs. Dullahan won’t hand over the rose until every resident of the mansion is satisfied, his heirloom is back in his hands, and you’ve landed a Dobhar.
Quick answer: Talk to Dullahan at GPS (-15028.6, 267.7, -9919.3), finish all six mansion NPC requests, pick up Dullahan’s Heirloom, catch one Dobhar in a Frightful Pool, then return to him.
Dullahan quest requirements for the Fable Rose
Dullahan stands at the mansion entrance. Speaking to him adds “FischFright 2026: Dullahan” to the Major Quests tab of your Quest Book. It tracks three objectives:
- Complete all side quests from the Haunted Mansion’s inhabitants (0/6)
- Obtain 1 Dullahan’s Heirloom for Dullahan (0/1)
- Catch and return 1 Dobhar (0/1)
You can do the three objectives in any order. The Quest Book counter is the simplest way to check which mansion residents still need something from you.
Haunted Mansion NPC locations and requests
Four residents are on the ground floor around the Kitchen and entrance hall. The other two are upstairs. Butler Bartholomew is the natural first stop because he’s right behind Dullahan, and Dullahan points you to him first.

Nanny Nocturne’s request is the loosest of the six. Any 15 FischFright fish count, whether they come from Caustic Hallow or a Frightful Pool. So her counter will likely fill up while you hunt for everyone else’s fish.
Fishing conditions for every mansion fish
Every fish on the list needs the Autumn season. Bait, weather, and time of day are what separate them.

Gargoyle Grouper, Franken-Flounder, and Headless Halibut are caught at Caustic Hallow. Haunted Haddock and Jack-o-Angler are both Limited-rarity fish, and Trick or Treat houses drop them often enough that you may never have to fish for them.
How to get a Shiny Headless Halibut for Lady Lenore
A regular catch doesn’t count for Lady Lenore. She needs the Shiny version, and you get it through appraisal rather than luck on the line.
Dullahan’s Heirloom location
The heirloom is upstairs. Climb the stairs and turn right instead of left toward the Portrait of Percival. It sits in the room at GPS (-15054.7, 291.5, -9970.3), resting on a bed. Press the pick-up prompt and you’ll see a “You just got a Dullahan’s Heirloom!” message.
Some players reach the heirloom by climbing up through the mansion’s upper rafters near the chandelier. If it isn’t on the bed when you arrive, use the GPS coordinates to find it.
How to catch a Dobhar in FischFright 3
The Dobhar only appears in Frightful Pools, which spawn in open water. You can’t catch it at Caustic Hallow itself. Doomed, Grim, and Eldritch Frightful Pools all work, and global chat shows when one has opened in your server.

Mutated or oversized versions count too. A Giant Sovereign Dobhar fills the “Catch and return 1 Dobhar” objective just like a plain one.
Claiming the Fable Rose and quest rewards
Before you head back, open the Quest Book. All three Dullahan objectives should read as complete, with the side quest counter at 6/6. Then talk to Dullahan at the entrance. He takes the heirloom and the Dobhar and tells you to take the Fable Rose. A “You just got a Fable Rose!” message confirms the quest is finished.

Hold on to the rose. At the cemetery ritual site, walk up to the skeletal hand altar ringed with candles and jack-o’-lanterns. Its prompt reads “Need Fable Rose” until you’re carrying one, then switches to “Awaken.” Using it there wakes that hand, which counts toward the four-rose ritual alongside Davy’s Rose, the Ethereal Rose, and Gourdemort’s Rose.
