Top-end gear in AION 2 costs a lot of Kinah. Crafting an Ebony Dragon Lord Greatsword runs 250M to 300M Kinah once every material and upgrade is counted. One character can’t fund that alone, because Odyle Energy and several reward limits apply per character. Alts get around those limits. Each alt farms its own share of rewards and passes the profit to your main.
Quick answer: Make a Chanter alt, level it to 46 with story quests and Sealed Dungeons, push its item level past 700, then speed-run Krao Cave and send the profits to your main through Server Storage.
Best class for an AION 2 alt
An alt should be cheap to build and easy to get into parties. Class choice decides both.
| Class | Alt tier | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Chanter | S+ | High early DPS, group buffs |
| Cleric | Top for 2,100+ CP | Fits Transcendence and Fire Temple |
| Templar | B | Tanks get in with lower CP |
| Gladiator, Assassin, Ranger, Sorcerer | F | Need too many Stigma Shards |
Chanter deals the most damage early in the game and buffs the whole group. It clears dungeons with very little gear, which is exactly what you need from an alt. Cleric is the better pick if you plan to push an alt to 2,100+ combat power for harder content. Templar is listed with a single party role in game, Tank. Parties accept tanks at lower item levels, so a Templar alt can still find groups. Skip the character creator’s cosmetic options for now. You can change your look later.
You unlock more character slots with an Atreian Pledge of Allegiance. Check the selection screen to see how many slots are open before you plan more than one alt.

Why pure DPS alts stall: Lunge Stance as an example
Damage classes depend on high-level stigma skills, and leveling those takes Stigma Shards that you grind daily. Gladiator is a clear case. Its main weapon is the Greatsword. Many of its key skills are stigmas, including Lunge Stance, Wrath Wave and Zikel’s Blessing. A Lunge Stance at level 20 is a common target, and getting there costs a lot of shards.

| Lunge Stance | Value |
|---|---|
| Learned as | Stigma skill (1 stigma point) |
| Required level | 22 |
| Max skill level | 25 |
| Cooldown | 60 seconds |
| Base effect | +20% Combat Speed for 10s |
| Level 5 | +5% Double Chance |
| Level 10 | +20% Move Speed |
| Level 15 | x1.5 Identify Weakness effect |
| Level 20 | 50% chance on Critical Hit to cut all cooldowns by 1s |
The skill’s best effects unlock at the top specialisation steps. A Gladiator alt without those levels is weaker than a Chanter with no stigma investment at all. That’s why damage classes rank last as alts.

Add to Google Preferences →Leveling an alt to 46 and past item level 700
The goal is Krao Cave, which needs level 45 and item level 700. All of the gear below is free or close to it.

Each Sealed Dungeon clear gives the same set of rewards:
- Kina x15,000
- Enhance Stone x1,250
- Daevanion Crystal (Bound) x2 and Wisdom Stone (Bound) x2
- Sealed Wing Featherdown (Bound) x2 and Statue Scrap: Day Illusion Wings (Bound) x2
- A title unique to that dungeon
The 1,250 Enhance Stones per clear cover much of the accessory upgrading in Step 4.
Krao Cave farming on alts
Krao Cave is a party dungeon for 1 to 5 players. It has Exploration and Conquest difficulties and a 60-minute time limit. All three bosses are level 45. Party finder listings usually ask for a bit more combat power than the minimum, so a few extra free upgrades make it easier to get into groups.

For the quickest clears, use either one Templar alongside four Chanters or four Chanters with one Cleric. Efficient runs bring in about 3M to 5M Kinah per hour. Earnings come from Kinah in chests (about 70,000 each), Wrathful Minds (around 2M Kinah apiece), Sealed Black Fragment Wings, Artwork: Krao and Balaur’s Essence. Wrathful Minds appear in about 6% of chests, or 12% with a pass.
| Boss (level 45) | Drop | Chance |
|---|---|---|
| Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique) (Bound) | 20% | |
| Division Ring | 11.4% | |
| Balaur’s Essence | 10% | |
| Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique) (Bound) | 20% | |
| Division Ring | 11.4% | |
| Balaur’s Essence | 10% | |
| Balaur’s Essence | 30% | |
| Amplify Stone Fragment (Unique) (Bound) | 20% |
Harcon and Gadioton also drop Division Gloves, Cloak and Earrings at 8.5%, and Division Helm and Pauldrons at 6.8%. Ultimate Berk gives the best Balaur’s Essence odds. The dungeon’s loot pool also includes Berk Earrings, Berk Necklace, Berk Ring, Artisan’s Refining Stone and Artisan’s Ultimate Refining Stone.
Unique and legendary weapons from runs like these sell for about 1M+ Kinah on the Market, because players use them as Soul Binding fodder. Each stat on a Soul Binding reroll has a 1% chance. Check the Market price before you dismantle anything. The current tax on sales is 10%.
Fire Temple for higher-CP alts
An alt with high combat power can farm Fire Temple instead. It’s another 1-to-5-player party dungeon with a 60-minute limit and four level 37 bosses. Its tradeable drop is Wrathful Ego, which sells for around 4M Kinah. Bosses also drop Judicator armor. Kromede’s Desire has the best odds, with Judicator Gloves, Cloak and Earrings at 15.2% each.

Odyle Energy limits on every alt
Each character has its own Odyle Energy. That’s where most of the value of an alt comes from. An alt can hold up to 560 Odyle Energy, or 840 with Special Quai Membership. The membership covers the whole account and lasts 30 days. It also unlocks the Market, Remote Storage, the Quna Exchange and the Wind Breeze Merchants.

Every alt can make 4 Odyle Energy (Bound) per week through Substance Morph. Each one restores 40 Odyle Energy. You can see the 0/4 counter in the Morph menu.

Some Odyle Energy morphs are limited per server, not per character. Never craft those on an alt. Save them for your main.
Each character can also buy 20 Odyle Energy per week from the Wind Breeze Merchant. If you want more passes, Market Kinah Chests let you turn Kinah into Quna. The 2M and 10M chests are the usual sizes to sell. Recent listings were about 1,188 for a 2,000,000 Kina chest and 6,399 for a 10,000,000 Kina chest.
Shared vs character-bound content in AION 2
Some activities count separately for each character. Others are shared across the account or server. If you do shared content on an alt, you use up rewards your main could have claimed.
| System | Scope | Where to do it |
|---|---|---|
| Odyle Energy limits | Per character | Every alt |
| Nightmare, Ascension Trial | Per character | Every alt |
| Arena, Battlefield | Per character | Every alt |
| Hidden Cube Keys | Per character | Every alt |
| Daily Dungeons (Daeva Bio-Research Base) | Shared | Main only |
| Shugo Festival, Invasions | Shared | Main only |
| Season Shop limits | Shared | Main only |
| Closet skins, Pet Genus Insight | Shared | Any character |
Shared collections reward alt farming. Genus Insight stats and pet crystals apply to every character, so cube farming on an alt boosts your main too. Altgard alone has 59 hidden cubes.
The Closet works identically. Reaching 700 skins grants the “Empty Closet” title, which provides 3.5% Combat Speed, 3.5% Cooldown Reduction, 42 Natural HP Regen and 120 CP while equipped. Any alt can spend Kinah on daily and weekly skins at the Black Cloud Merchant, so adding more alts speeds up your progress to 700.
Moving alt earnings to your main
Server Storage connects your characters. Unbound gear, Kinah and Transfer Stones can all go through it. You can also use alt resources to upgrade your main’s gear. Put an unenhanced, unbound item in Server Storage, take it out on an alt, and enhance it with the alt’s own Enhance Stones and bound Kinah. Then send it back.
Transfer Stones are morphed from unique or legendary gear. They move stats and enhancement levels from one item to another. The source item is destroyed. Use them to carry a well-enhanced piece forward when you craft a better base.
When you start crafting with the money, make the weapon or rings first, since they add skill levels. The guard comes next. Craft on the same server as your alts. Mail and storage between characters only work within one server.
One alt is enough for a casual player. Active players do well with two, and people who play all day can manage three. Beyond that, the extra Odyle Energy usually isn’t worth the time it takes to run another character each week.
