Find the Bridge Construction Report note just east of Braelyn Bridge’s north end in the Springlands. Speak with the Carpenter and choose “Bridge”; he then points out a gold chest at the base of the bridge’s central pillar.

Where to find the Bridge Construction Report
In the Springlands, the Bridge Construction Report appears as a lore entry. Find it about 80 m east of Braelyn Bridge’s north end, level with the bridge deck. The interactive map’s lore layer lists it under “Spectacular Progress Is Being Made”—the same title used for its journal page.

Cade Hawthorn signed the note “Cade Hawthorn, Yearwake, 490 D.A.” Cade Hawthorn is the Carpenter, and he wrote it while the bridge was being built. Two lines from it:
“The bridge is nearly finished, and I cannot find the words to express my joy, confound it!”
“I’ll name this bridge Braelyn, after my 5th Aunt! Though I’m not sure she would be flattered… for her and the bridge share not just the name, but a brash nature.”
The aunt in question, Aunt Braelyn, is the Carpenter’s assistant.
How to start the Bridge Construction Report quest
After reading the note, return to your base and speak with the Carpenter. You can now choose the “Bridge” dialogue option. He responds:
“Ye’ve found me notes! Yes, I’ve long considered m’self among the best… though me Aunt Braelyn would beg to differ. Ha! Of course, great artists have a signature to mark their works! Mine is a chest I set in the foundation of Braelyn Bridge. Right by the middle pillar! Despite me best efforts, no soul has noticed yet.”
That conversation adds the quest to your journal.

The step directs you to locate the central pillar and clear away the rubble to access the Carpenter’s concealed chest. Its contents are standard gold chest loot rather than a set reward.
Where the Braelyn Bridge chest is and how to reach it
Bring a pickaxe for the rubble. The chest is not on the bridge deck but far below it, at the foot of the middle pillar.
The bottom of the gorge is in the Shroud. At the foot of the first pier you are still outside it, so keep an eye on your Shroud timer if you go lower.
A silver chest sits in the Shroud under the bridge, about 50 m south of the gold chest. It isn’t needed for the quest, which ends when the gold chest at the middle pillar is opened.
Crossing Braelyn Bridge
