What A Scattered Legacy is in Enshrouded 1.0

A Scattered Legacy is a lore collection of five notes, filed in the journal under Nobles and History. Together they cover the fall of Pikemead’s Reach when Vorgoth’s army arrived. You hear from a terrified squire, a citizen hiding in an attic, people shut out of the inner city, a gravedigger and someone who wants to go out in a blaze.

All five notes, the gravedigger’s grave and the Gravedigger set are all on our interactive Enshrouded map.

A Scattered Legacy note locations (journal order)

The notes are listed below in the order the journal shows them. Distances are measured from the nearest named spot on the map, so open your map and use those markers as anchors.

1. Siege Report — Day 3, 21st of Yearfall, 503 D.A.

Look about 80 m south of Shanty Shacks. It’s the squire’s report, and it ends: “Please. I’m just a squire. Please don’t crush my head”

2. The Invaders Have Taken The Square

This one lies about 35 m south-west of the Pikemead’s Reach marker. Its writer escaped just in time: “I’m blessed to have made it to my hidden attic on time.”

3. We’re Locked Out

Head about 70 m north-east of Pike’s Port. The note is an angry complaint about the inner city sealing itself off: “Bastards closed the gates to the inner city. Just left us poor to rot and die!!”

4. We Return To Earth Today

Find it about 60 m south-east of the Imperial Gardens. This is the gravedigger’s note, and it’s the one that matters for loot. He writes “I’ve buried so many. I confess this comforts me.” and leaves his final wish: “I want to be buried next to my wife and son under the old oak / Leave the headstone blank”

5. Setting Sail

The last note sits about 90 m north of the Imperial Gardens and higher up than the other four, so expect to climb. It closes the set with “I want to end in a storm, in a blaze, and not a lonely little tower!”

Gravedigger’s Rest: how to find the gravedigger’s grave

Read “We Return To Earth Today”, located roughly 60 m southeast from Imperial Gardens. This reading kicks off the search.
Open your journal and read the new entry, Find The Gravedigger’s Resting Place. It recaps the note, points to the graveyard near the Imperial Gardens, and tells you to “Search for his grave and dig for valuables!”

The entry reads: “You’ve read a note that described how a local gravedigger in Pikemead’s Reach wanted to be buried. He wished to be put underneath the old oak, next to his wife and son. The graveyard in question is in the Imperial Gardens area. Search for his grave and dig for valuables!”

From the note, travel about 30 m toward the south-south-east to reach the grave. You can also find it on the map roughly 90 m southeast of the Imperial Gardens marker, or around 90 m north of Shanty Shacks.
Take the loot from the skeleton at the grave. The entire four-piece Gravedigger set is on that skeleton, letting you collect the full outfit in one visit.

  • A Flame Shrine about 65 m south-east
  • A Flame Sanctum about 85 m south-west
  • A silver chest with the Guard of the North Chestplate about 30 m north
  • The survivor Ramone Jones about 85 m south-east
