Sun Temple Stories steps

The first step can’t move forward until Emily Fray, the Farmer, lives at your base, and you rescue her from the Ancient Vault — Farmer in the Revelwood. If she’s already home, you can start right away.

Talk to Emily Fray about Elin’s curse. The journal frames it as a family rumor: “It is said that one of the Carpenter’s aunts, Elin, was cursed in a Kindlewastes Sun Temple once.” Emily is from the Kindlewastes, which is why the Carpenter points you to her.

Travel to the Haunted Sun Temple. Once Emily has spoken, the journal updates with “The Farmer confirms that the Sun Temple in Brittlebush is indeed haunted!” and the objective changes to reaching the temple.
Go inside and kill the specter. Arriving at the entrance switches the objective to “Defeat The Specter In The Haunted Sun Temple,” and the thing haunting the halls turns out to be the Fell Sicklescythe.

Defeat the Fell Sicklescythe to complete the quest. The journal text for this step reads: “You’ve reached the entrance of the Haunted Sun Temple. Now it’s time to step inside and lift the curse! Find whatever is haunting the Haunted Sun Temple and defeat it!”

Haunted Sun Temple location

  • The Haunted Sun Temple is in the Kindlewastes, about 1.1 km north-west of the Kindlewastes Ancient Spire. Its entrance is about 115 m north-west of Brittlebush, and a Return Beacon stands roughly 25 m north of the entrance.
  • The Haunted Sun Temple, the Fell Sicklescythe, Elin’s note and every other Sun Temple are all on our interactive Enshrouded map.

  • Elin’s lore note, “The Walls Are Alive!”, can be found around 10 m to the north of the entrance.
  • Emily Fray’s former tavern is the “Far Away Fray” Tavern, about 90 m west of Brittlebush.

Elin’s note is the in-world version of the rumor that kicks off the quest. It opens with “Townspeople, be warned! You must pray elsewhere, for these halls are haunted! I saw it with my own eye!” and describes the creature as “Twisting the fire was a nebulous horror, skeletal remains aflame in spectral glow!” It’s signed “— Elin”.

The surrounding area is worth a sweep. Within about 200 m of the temple there are 2 gold chests, about 12 silver chests and about 20 wooden chests. Emily Fray’s diary pages lie about 105 m north-east and 145 m south of the entrance, and a puzzle with a silver chest waits about 120 m north.

Fell Sicklescythe drops

The Fell Sicklescythe waits about 210 m north of the entrance, inside the temple and lower than where you came in. It drops the following.
