Quick answer: Craft bandages from Linen Bandage up to Heavy Runecloth Bandage, switching at each skill break below, and train every rank before you hit its cap. First Aid now also makes healing potions.

First Aid in World of Warcraft: Forever is a cloth-to-bandage grind, with one change from older versions. The profession now owns the full healing potion line and a set of curatives, so you have more options to work with on the way to 300.

First Aid leveling route 1-300

Recipe color shows how reliably crafting it awards a skill point: orange always grants one, yellow usually does, green has a chance, and grey grants none. For each step, start the recipe while it is yellow and move to the next before it turns green. If your trainer has the next recipe available sooner than the route indicates, switch to it right away, because orange recipes guarantee a point.

Skill stops at each rank’s cap. Apprentice allows up to 75, Journeyman 150, Expert 225 and Artisan 300, so visit a First Aid trainer for the next rank before you reach each one. Two bandages do not come from the trainer list. You learn Heavy Silk Bandage from Manual: Heavy Silk Bandage at skill 180, and Mageweave Bandage from Manual: Mageweave Bandage at skill 210, so have both ready before those steps.

Materials for 1-300

Healing potions and curatives

The healing potion line from Minor Healing Potion to Major Healing Potion is made with First Aid in WoW Forever, not Alchemy. Each potion takes a vial, spices and one herb. Greater Healing Potion, Superior Healing Potion and Major Healing Potion are learned from manuals at skill 155, 215 and 275. These potions turn yellow at 55, 85, 135, 175, 230 and 290, so if you are an herbalist, herbs can replace cloth for parts of the climb.

Curatives come in three families: anti-venoms, poultices and tourniquets. Anti-venoms and poultices produce three per craft, while tourniquets mix cloth or leather with thread. Anti-Venom, Simple Poultice and Woolen Tourniquet are curatives. Most later curatives come from manuals; Powerful Anti-Venom comes from Formula: Powerful Anti-Venom at skill 300.

First Aid can provide bonuses at your camp, too. At skill 20, you can learn First Aid Kit, which requires three Linen Bandage and Refreshing Spring Water. It grants you and nearby seated players 3 to 56 Stamina, based on level, and does not stack with Power Word: Fortitude. Blueprint: Toxin Study teaches Toxin Study at skill 140, and Blueprint: Plague Doctor’s Laboratory teaches Plague Doctor’s Laboratory at skill 300. Dungeons and raids can drop blueprints requiring skill 140 or above. Camp setup is covered in the WoW Forever camping guide.

Every First Aid recipe

First Aid covers 11 bandages, six healing potions, eleven curatives and the First Aid Kit. Anything taught by a manual, formula or blueprint needs that item along with the listed skill.

FAQ

Where do you learn First Aid?

Learn it from a First Aid trainer in a starting zone or one of the major cities. Ask a city guard where to find one.

Do healing potions need Alchemy in WoW Forever?

No. First Aid includes the recipes for the healing potion line.

What is the max First Aid skill?

300, which requires the Artisan rank.

What is the best bandage at 300?

Heavy Runecloth Bandage is the route’s highest bandage. Making Dense Runecloth Bandage requires skill 300 and its manual.

Can the Recently Bandaged debuff be shortened?

Yes. Field Medicine Legacy cuts the time Recently Bandaged remains active; it has no effect while in a dungeon, raid, or battleground.
