Rebecca arrives in Wuthering Waves as a free 5-star Electro Resonator tied to the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners crossover, and she plays like a fast-firing sub-DPS who buffs whoever swaps in after her. She switches between two stances, builds resources through gunfire, and leaves behind a turret plus a damage window for the next character. The right weapon, Echo setup, and partner make that window count.
Quick answer: Run Rebecca with her signature pistol Skull Thrasher (Bonebreaker), a 1+2+2 Echo split of Nightmare of the Shattered Dream Wraith, Void Thunder, and Lingering Tunes, the Adam Smasher main Echo, and pair her with Lucy plus Mornye for her strongest team.
Rebecca role and how she fights
Rebecca is a 5-star Electro Resonator who uses Pistols. She functions as a sub-DPS and amplifier whose damage scales mainly off Basic Attack DMG. Her core loop swaps between Huntress (Hunter) and Guts (Iron Guts) stances. Huntress grants Crit DMG and leans on agile dual-pistol fire, while Guts ignores part of an enemy’s DEF and hits with heavier shotgun bursts.
In either stance she builds Fervor through Normal Attacks and Resonance Skills and regenerates Hot Hand over time. At max Fervor her Heavy Attack becomes the enhanced Rat-tat-tat! (Huntress) or Bang-bang-bang! (Guts). At max Hot Hand, casting her Intro or Resonance Skill triggers A Girl Gets What She Wants!, which grants both stance bonuses at once. Her Resonance Liberation, Party ’til Dawn!, deploys a heavy machine gun that auto-fires and ends with the BOOM! Fireworks! finisher.
The part teams care about most is her Outro. It summons a turret and hands the next Resonator an All-DMG amp plus stacking Heavy Attack DMG amplification through Overlimit. She also applies Hack – Shifting with several skills, which feeds the collab’s shared Hack synergy. Note: if Lucy is the bonded partner, she instantly gets max stacks and can enhance the turret.

Best weapons for Rebecca
Her signature pistol, Skull Thrasher (also called Bonebreaker), is the best in slot. It carries 500 base ATK and 72% Crit DMG, raises ATK, boosts Basic Attack DMG after Intro Skill and after inflicting Hack – Shifting, and gives a team-wide ATK buff. The Hack-related bonus only matters on collab characters, so its value drops on anyone else.
| Weapon | Rarity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Skull Thrasher (Bonebreaker) | 5★ | Signature. Crit DMG, ATK, Basic Attack DMG, team ATK buff. |
| Static Mist | 5★ | Standard pistol with Crit Rate; close alternative. |
| Spectrum Blaster | 5★ | Limited Basic Attack DMG option. |
| Phasic Homogerizer | 5★ | Standard pistol with Crit DMG; Tune Break synergy. |
| Solar Flame | 4★ | Battle Pass pick; usable for its Crit stat. |
Because her standard 5-star pistols are already strong, you do not have to chase her signature to make her work.
Echo sets and main Echo
The collab set Nightmare of the Shattered Dream Wraith activates with a single piece, so Rebecca runs a 1+2+2 layout in most cases. Its 1-piece effect raises Crit Rate by 35% and both Basic Attack and Heavy Attack DMG Bonus by 35% for 15 seconds when she inflicts Hack – Shifting. Fill the remaining slots with two 2-piece bonuses.
| Set piece | Effect |
|---|---|
| Nightmare of the Shattered Dream Wraith (1-Pc) | +35% Crit Rate, +35% Basic and Heavy Attack DMG Bonus on Hack – Shifting for 15s. |
| Void Thunder (2-Pc) | Electro DMG +10%. |
| Lingering Tunes / Reel of Spliced Memories (2-Pc) | ATK +10%. |
For the main Echo, use Adam Smasher. When it sits in the first slot on Lucy or Rebecca, it grants +15% Crit Rate, and on Rebecca its Echo skill fires missiles for 16 hits of 17.10% Electro DMG each. If Rebecca is purely supporting a high-sequence main DPS, Moonlit Clouds gives stronger buffing instead. If energy regen is a problem and you cannot cast her Liberation reliably, swap one 2-piece for an Energy Regen set.
Echo main stats and sub stats
Use the standard 4-3-3-1-1 cost layout. Crit stats and Electro DMG carry her damage, with ATK% rounding out the smaller slots.
| Cost | Main stat |
|---|---|
| 4 | Crit DMG or Crit Rate |
| 3 | Electro DMG Bonus (ATK alternative) |
| 3 | Electro DMG Bonus (ATK alternative) |
| 1 | ATK |
| 1 | ATK |
For sub stats, prioritize Crit DMG and Crit Rate, then ATK%, then Basic Attack DMG Bonus. Aim for roughly 125% Energy Regen so her Resonance Liberation comes up on schedule.
Best Rebecca team comps
Rebecca’s value comes from the moment she swaps out. Set up her Hack states, send the turret with her Outro, then let the incoming carry spend the buff window. Her cleanest partner is Lucy, whose kit interacts directly with Hack mechanics.
| Team | Main DPS | Sub-DPS | Support |
|---|---|---|---|
| Collab core | Lucy | Rebecca | Mornye (best at S1), Shorekeeper, or Verina |
| Heavy Attack focus | Augusta or Jiyan | Rebecca | Shorekeeper or Verina |
| Rebecca carry | Rebecca | Sanhua or Lynae | Shorekeeper or Verina |
The Lucy pairing is the strongest. Use Rebecca to apply Hack – Shifting and deploy the turret, then swap into Lucy during her Algorithm Compaction window. Both characters want long field time, so a low-maintenance healer like Mornye keeps the rotation stable.
If you skip the collab banner, Rebecca still slots into Heavy Attack carries. With Augusta or Jiyan she mainly provides turret follow-up damage and Heavy Attack amplification through Overlimit, roughly replacing a support like Mortefi. You can also run her as the main damage dealer with Sanhua, who supports her Basic Attack patterns on short field time. The carry route is less efficient than the Lucy duo, but it works for players who enjoy her gunplay.
Resonance chains worth chasing
Rebecca already performs well at S0. If you want to invest, two nodes stand out. S2 (Oh, Hey Choom!) grants a 20% All-Attribute DMG Bonus to the whole team and 15% All DMG Amplification when Hack – Shifting is applied, which pushes her support ceiling. S6 (Maybe, Just Maybe…) increases her Basic Attack DMG Bonus from every source by 40% and adds a large extra Electro hit on her enhanced Heavy Attacks. A practical pulling path runs S0R0 or S0R1 to S2R1 for flexible support, then toward S6 if you want her personal damage spike.
Because she is handed out for free during the Edgerunners event, anything you build on top of that is pure upside. Time her Hack setup, swap cleanly into your carry, and let the turret keep firing while the next Resonator cashes in the buffs.
