The Long Dream is a limited-time event in Neverness to Everness that asks you to track down Lacrimosa across the city of Hethereau. She turns up in eight fixed spots, sometimes napping in the open, sometimes weeping by a vending machine, and sometimes hidden inside a small coffin. Each successful encounter pays out, and clearing all eight nets the full reward bundle.
Quick answer: Visit Sunward Island, Bluegaze Campground, the Bureau of Anomaly Control, Moby-Dick Bookstore, Origami Market, Kyllene Promenade, Caltrop Lake Station, and Yuanmu Hill. Interact with Lacrimosa (or her coffin) at each one. The event runs until July 8, 2026, and every spot is open as soon as the event is active.

You do not need to wait for the daily clues. Once the event is live, all eight spots can be visited in any order. Lacrimosa stays put regardless of the in-game clock, so there is no need to adjust the time of day. The table below lists each spot, its region, and exactly where she is hiding.

A route that saves teleport costs
The spots are spread across several districts, so a logical order keeps fast-travel spending down. Start on Sunward Island, then return to the mainland for Bluegaze Campground and the Bureau of Anomaly Control. From there, work through Illusion Town for Moby-Dick Bookstore and Origami Market, then move into the New Herland and Miguel districts for Kyllene Promenade, Caltrop Lake Station, and Yuanmu Hill.
Most ReroRero Phone Booths sit close to each landmark, so teleport to the nearest booth and walk the short distance. For Moby-Dick Bookstore, the quickest path is the phone booth north of Nacupeda Pool, then southeast along the road until the bookstore appears.
The coffin encounters are easy to miss
At Kyllene Promenade and Yuanmu Hill, Lacrimosa does not stand up. Instead, she stays asleep inside a small coffin, and there is no character model to spot from a distance. Walk right up to the coffin and interact with it to count the visit. If a location looks empty, line yourself up with the listed landmark first, such as the ice cream truck at Origami Market or the tents at Bluegaze.
Note: Talking to her at Origami Market unlocks the Jelly Belly achievement, and the Bureau of Anomaly Control encounter unlocks the Once Upon a Dream achievement.

Each encounter pays out as you go, and finding all eight grants the complete reward set. These are limited-time rewards tied to the event, so claim them before it closes.

How to confirm each encounter counted
An encounter registers the moment you interact with Lacrimosa or her coffin, and the matching objective in the event tracker is marked complete. If an objective still shows as unfinished, you are likely standing at the wrong landmark or, at the Bureau of Anomaly Control, on the locked side of the upper floor. Cross to the correct section and interact again. Once all eight objectives are checked off, the full reward set is delivered and The Long Dream is cleared.
The event remains available until July 8, 2026, which leaves plenty of time to clear every spot at your own pace before the rewards expire.
