Fortnite Mobile Series: How to Unlock the Frozenheart Wings and Icetech Spear

Play the June 13–14 mobile tournament, hit the points and placement thresholds, and the cosmetics land on your account.

Play the June 13–14 mobile tournament, hit the points and placement thresholds, and the cosmetics land on your account.

The Fortnite Mobile Series is back with two free cosmetics on the line: the Frozenheart Wings back bling and the Icetech Spear pickaxe. Both are earned by playing the event on a phone, but they have very different requirements. One is a steady grind anyone can reach, and the other depends on where you finish on your regional leaderboard.

Quick answer: Play the Mobile Series on iOS or Android during June 13–14, 2026 with 2FA enabled. Earn 10 points in the Rounds phase to unlock the Frozenheart Wings back bling, and finish among the Top Performers in your region to claim the Icetech Spear pickaxe.

Requirements before you queue

The event is mobile-only, so you have to play on an iOS or Android device to be eligible for either reward. Rewards will not register on an account without two-factor authentication turned on, so confirm that first.

Turn on 2FA from your Epic account security settings if you have not already. You can do that on the Epic Games account security page.

  • Play on iOS or Android.
  • Enable Fortnite 2FA on your Epic account.
  • Update Fortnite to the latest mobile build before the event.
  • Check the in-game Competitive tab for your region’s exact match windows.

Event dates and reward thresholds

The Mobile Series runs across the weekend of June 13–14, 2026. That is a two-day window, so plan your sessions around the scheduled match times shown in the Competitive tab for your region.

How to unlock the Frozenheart Wings back bling

The back bling is a points reward, which makes it the easier of the two to get. You need 10 points during the Rounds phase of the Mobile Series. Points come from both placement and eliminations across the matches that count toward your Rounds tally.

Queue into the Mobile Series during the scheduled window on June 13 or 14. Make sure you are on the updated mobile build so you are not locked out of the playlist.
Play for placement and grab eliminations where you can. Surviving longer and finishing higher both feed your point total, so consistent placements are the reliable path to 10.
Keep playing until your Rounds score reaches 10 points. Once you cross that threshold, the back bling is secured for your account.

How to unlock the Icetech Spear pickaxe

The pickaxe is a placement reward, so a points total alone will not get it. You have to finish among the Top Performers on your region’s leaderboard over the course of the event. That means competing against other mobile players in your region rather than hitting a fixed number.

The most effective approach blends safe rotations for placement points with measured aggression for eliminations. Treat survival and positioning as your priority, then take fights when they add to your score without throwing the match.

Small setup tweaks help here. Adjusting your sensitivity, HUD layout, or keybinds, or using controller support on mobile, can swing the placement points that decide leaderboard spots.

How to confirm you received the rewards

Rewards are granted to eligible players after the event rather than the instant you hit a threshold. Once distribution runs, the Frozenheart Wings and any earned Icetech Spear will appear in your locker. If a reward is missing, the usual cause is an account without 2FA active or play on a build that was not current during the event.

If you are only after the back bling, steady placements will carry you to 10 points without much risk. If the pickaxe is the goal, focus your sessions on survival and clean rotations, since the leaderboard is what decides who walks away with it.
