The exact recipes, login reward, and rules for invading another player’s Homeworld.

The Invasion Bell is a PvP item in VV: ULTIMATUM that lets you invade another player’s Homeworld and disrupt their progress. You can either craft it or claim it from the daily login cycle, and it works only against players who have opted into the Dangerous Missions system.

Quick answer: Craft an Invasion Bell from 1× Spirit Alloy, or from 2× Dark Essence + 1× Soul Orb. You can also receive one on Day 3 of the 5-day login cycle.

How to get the Invasion Bell in VV: ULTIMATUM

There are two reliable ways to obtain the Bell. Crafting gives you control over timing, while the daily login route hands one over for free if you stay on schedule.

MethodRequirement
Craft (Recipe 1)1× Spirit Alloy
Craft (Recipe 2)2× Dark Essence + 1× Soul Orb
Daily Login RewardsDay 3 of the 5-day login cycle (paired with an Accessory Token)

Spirit Alloy is the simpler path for most players. You craft it from 1× Dark Essence + 3× Soul Essence at Level 13 or higher, after completing the yellow quest “Metals of Spirit” from NPC Hokuchi in the Mizuki Soto Settlement near the torii gate. It can also be bought directly from the Arctic Town merchant if you would rather skip the quest.

Dark Essence drops from Hollows and is also handed out as a quest reward, so the second recipe is practical once you have a Soul Orb on hand. Crafting itself is NPC-based, so you gather the materials first, then visit the relevant crafting NPC to forge the item. The Bell is added to your inventory immediately after crafting.

The Invasion Bell is a daily login reward but can also be crafted.

How Homeworld invasions work

Using the Invasion Bell drops you into another player’s Homeworld for structured PvP. The key rule is that you can only target players who have Dangerous Missions enabled. That setting grants bonus EXP, but it also leaves a player open to invasion, which is the trade-off the system is built around.

A successful invasion can stop the defender from finishing their extraction, which makes the Bell a deliberate tool in competitive play rather than a casual fight starter. If you run the “Relentless Hunter” Charm, you can open with a combat tag the moment you spawn in the target’s world.

Defending against an invasion

The most direct defense is turning off Dangerous Missions, which closes you to invasions entirely. The cost is losing the EXP bonus that the setting provides. If you want to keep the bonus and still fight back, several Spirit Charms tip the home field in your favor.

Defensive optionEffect
Disable Dangerous MissionsBlocks invasions entirely, but removes the EXP bonus
“At The Ready” CharmPermanent 25% haste while your Homeworld is invaded
“Prey Turned Predator” CharmForces the invader into a combat trigger when they arrive
“Trouble in Paradise” Charm+10% damage while fighting in your own Homeworld

Material sources for crafting the Bell

If you are crafting rather than waiting for the login reward, here is where each component comes from. Stocking Spirit Alloy early is worthwhile because it also feeds the Rebreather recipe and The Marsh access.

Where PvP fits in

The Invasion Bell is part of the wider PvP layer, separate from open-world combat. The main open PvP zone is the Human World, which opens at Level 60 and lets players attack each other freely. Combat there uses the same fundamentals as PvE, including blocking, parrying, posture breaks, and unblockable red attacks, so practice against bosses transfers directly to invasions.

Note: PvP is optional for most of the game. You can reach Level 100 and finish progression without ever using a Bell, so treat it as a competitive tool rather than a required step.

VV: ULTIMATUM is available on its official Roblox experience page, where the Invasion Bell and the rest of the crafting systems live in the current build.
