The Gluttonous Eye is a rare auction-only item in Neverness to Everness that exists for one purpose: activating the Anomaly Furniture called Blind Mammon inside your apartment. Once installed, Mammon opens the Realm of Greed, a weekly boss fight that pays out a large lump of Fons and resets every week. Without the Eye, the furniture stays inert, and the Realm of Greed cannot be entered.
Quick answer: Win the Gluttonous Eye by outbidding NPCs at the Ebisu Auction House inside the Kape Grand Hotel, then place Blind Mammon in your first apartment to unlock the Realm of Greed weekly boss.

What the Gluttonous Eye does
The Gluttonous Eye is the activation key for the Blind Mammon Anomaly Furniture. You cannot place or use Mammon without it, and the Covetous Coin alone will not start the system. Once Mammon is active, you gain access to the Realm of Greed, a recurring weekly fight against Mammon that drops a fixed Fons reward scaled to the furniture’s level.
At base level, defeating Mammon after buying both the Eye and the Coin returns roughly 45,000 Fons in the same week, which makes the bid pay for itself almost immediately. Upgraded furniture levels push the maximum reward higher, with level 5 Mammon paying around 48,000 Fons per clear.

The Auction House is gated behind story progression, so the Eye is not reachable from a fresh save. You need to clear specific quests before the auction rotation can even include it.
| Requirement | Detail |
|---|---|
| Story progress | Complete Chapter 3 of the Main Story |
| Unlock quest | Finish the “Deal? Deal!” story quest |
| Follow-up quest | “This Trip Has Only One Purpose” leads you in |
| Location | Kape Grand Hotel, Herland District |
| NPC contact | Iris (teleports you into the auction room) |
| Currency | Fons (used for bidding) |

How to get the Gluttonous Eye

Activating Mammon after winning the Eye
Owning the Gluttonous Eye does not finish the unlock on its own. The item has to be installed as part of the Blind Mammon Anomaly Furniture inside your first apartment, and the system needs an NPC confirmation to switch on.

How to confirm the unlock worked
The cleanest signal is the Mammon furniture itself. After installing the Gluttonous Eye and confirming with Hikatai, the furniture entry shifts from a locked state to showing the Realm of Greed effect with a numeric max reward value. Selecting Enter Realm of Greed should load the boss instance instead of returning a missing-requirement prompt.
If the option still does not appear, the most common reasons are that the Covetous Coin step or the Hikatai conversation has not been completed, or that Chapter 3 of the Main Story is not yet cleared.
Weekly reset and reward cadence
| System | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Auction item pool | Refreshes weekly; manual refresh available |
| Realm of Greed clear | Once per weekly reset |
| Reward scaling | Tied to Blind Mammon furniture level |
| Level 5 max reward | ~48,000 Fons per clear |
| Initial payback | ~45,000 Fons after first clear |
Treat the Gluttonous Eye as a one-time purchase that pays for itself within a single weekly cycle, then keep an eye on the auction rotation for the Covetous Coin to push Mammon’s payout higher each week. The Eye is the gate; the Coin is the multiplier; Hikatai and the apartment furniture menu are what turn both items into a recurring Fons source.
